Gutter Helmet Of New Bern

Talked with the owner at New Bern Home & Garden Show for installation of Gutter Helmet gutters to be installed on entire roof.  Owner was very polite and was quick to arrive for estimate.  Provided $1,000 deposit and was told and the contract stated that work would begin with 30 days of signed contract.  Well, that date came and went 3 times.  That's right almost 3 months went by without him showing up again.  Every time I called to see what was going on I got a new and exciting excuse.  Truck broke, sick, waiting on supplies.  I even visited his work location which was no bigger than a large laundry room.  Finally received the service and the installation was fine.  So I thought.  Had only one problem with an area dripping behind the gutter.  Called him numerous time and have never seen him again.  Under no circumstances would I ever use this individual again.  When I called corporate about him, I got the usual franchise answer.  We are not responsible for individual franchise owners.  Installation of gutters was by a subcontractor.  My thoughts were that this man didn't have other funds to pay for a subcontractor to install the gutters until he found someone else to pay a deposit.
