Quality product and within $50 of Lowes pricing with better padding. Only issue was communication multiple follow ups with them (emails, calls) to get setup. Once schedule they did install on time and looks great. Receive a call 1 month after install asking "are you going to pay your bill" but would not take card over the phone. During setup they said we would charge 50% up front and 50% at the end which we had no problem with. No actual bill was sent to us or communication after install. So to imply we were trying to get out of paying a bill was a bit exaggerated considering we had to chase them to get it setup. Additionally i returned one of the workers sweatshirts that was left in my closet a few days later after install and nothing was mentioned about settling billing (again i assumed they would actually send us a bill or at least call). Probably miscommunication but considering we had to chase to get setup, does not appear to be that surprising.

"Hi [Member Name Removed], Though we appreciate your review, I believe you have reviewed the wrong company. We are in North Carolina and NEVER contract for Lowe's. Thank you for sharing your experience as a consumer."

I first walked into Creative Flooring and Design on May 19th and started looking at products. Randy was helpful, but not pushy. I returned the next week to work with Vicky in final product selection and in solving a problem in the kitchen. I needed a product that would be beautiful, but not raise the floor significantly as the cabinets were not going to be replaced and I still needed to get appliances to fit. She showed me the Alterna tile line, which is a 75% limestone and 25% vinyl tile that is grouted. It looks like ceramic tile, but has great texture and is a bit more comfortable on the legs. I received my final quote within two days and they were able to schedule me for install less than two weeks later. Just before my install date, I discovered I had a rotting problem by my back door and floor where a faulty storm door was. Vicky was able to calm my nerves and suggested a handyman who was able to come out, assess the problem, go with me to Lowes, pick out doors, install the door and storm door, and replace the damaged subfloor all within a week. Randy and his crew then started the install of the flooring the next day. Problem solved!
The install went great. The removal of the nasty old carpet and kitchen vinyl and the prepping of the floor happened on the first day. The 4" solid hardwood was racked and was showing the correct moisture content to match the subfloor by the second day. The Alterna was down in the kitchen on the second day. On the third day the hardwood was almost all down. Each time they would lay out a section, they made sure I was ok with it before they started nailing. If I didn't like a certain piece of wood because of the coloring, it was taken out. The kitchen tile was grouted on the third day. Randy did a great job putting the tile on the diagonal and centering it. On the fourth day, the trim work was done, the grout sealed, and cleanup accomplished.
This was a great company to work with. The crew at Creative Flooring are nice, professional, and fair people. They were VERY appreciative of the cold drinks that I provided (Hey people! Treat your contractors well.) and were pleasant to work with. Before the job was started, I asked Vicky how she wanted me to pay. She said half down when I ordered. I then said, "And the other half is when the install is done?" She responded, "No the other half is when the install is done and you LOVE it." Well, the install is done and I DO love it. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Vicki at Creative Flooring worked with us to order the special cottage tiles we needed and have them shipped here the most economical way. The actual installation of the tile was made much more difficult than a usual job due to the irregular dimensions of the cottage tiles and the shape of the area to be tiled. However the job was done very well and looks great. The installation was done in a timely manner and good humor even though difficult.
