Coastal Exteriors

Revised April 15, 2020: Communication ultimately improved. There were legitimate reasons for the poor communication. The owner's apology was accepted. Work was not completed until recently because there was not previously a large enough predicted window of good weather during which to complete the project. Once on the job, the employees were EXCELLENT. Their workmanship was skilled and detailed. They were courteous and maintained a clean work environment. The aluminum trim metal was fabricated on site. It exactly fits under the drip edge of the already installed metal roof and folds around the fascia to help support the soffit. They also covered porch beams by fitting the aluminum under the vinyl siding. They removed and replaced the capitals on porch posts as necessary to obtain exact fits there. A lift was required to reach some areas. They were very cautious and protective of the driveway and yard where it needed to be placed, I highly recommend the actual work completed and the customer service / communication from the owner has improved.

They did a fantastic job. They completed the work in two days. The crew was very professional. They answered all questions. Roy was very helpful in deciding what type of windows to have installed. He was very reasonable on the price. We really like the new windows.

Roy kept me well informed during the pre-build process and throughout. His builder Robbie and team did an outstanding job and were always on location when they said they would be. Highly recommended.

The experience went very well and the end result is great. Mr Ed and crew arrived early ready to go. Each has a job and does it well. The crew is polite professional and quite concerned about cleanliness of the job site. When the deck was done and they were leaving the only indication of their presence was the new deck. I would definitely hire them again.  Richard

Everything went very well from delivery of new windows to installation. The crew was very professional and worked well together. The site was kept clean and there was not much dirt or dust to contend with. Some wood rot was discovered and and that was taken care of. Overall we were every pleased with the project and will probably use Coastal Exteriors again.

I was very pleased. They did a great job, very professional, and very quick. Every other day they clean out the job site. They are good and at the end, they didn't leave anything behind. They were nice and had them come out in out house and they had the lowest bid and they started the job quite immediately. Actually, I got other job coming out and I'm considering them for that.

They did an excellent job. We have been in touch with him to do something else. He is an excellent contractor and his people are excellent. The quality of their work, their professionalism really stand out. They listened to us. Everybody admires our porch. It's high quality and the price is very fair.

I contacted him via the internet at first. We exchanged emails and then we set up an appointment and he came. We decided on what windows. He showed me the windows and I was satisfied. Prior to him, I spoke to a couple of other people but he was the best. Not the cheapest but the best quality and more professional. They do a very good job and their work is guaranteed. If you are not satisfied you can call them back and they will take care of whatever it is that you need taken care of.

We had two companies come and look at the project.  Our home is an all brick exterior so we know there was going to be masonry work involved.  Costal exteriors was the lower fo the two prices by half and we were very happy with the owner's demeanor  and presence.  We had the work started just prior to the November/December holiday season so it was understanbably difficult to get our schedules synced up with the company.  the job was completed quickly once all the materials arrived and we were able to schedule the install.  There was a small issue with waste removal after the job when the crew left waste and never returned to pick it up.  it was picked up by the city eventually.  In their defense Coastal Exteriors called to arrange for removal but didn't get here before the city.  the waste was on the curb for about 6 days. The company does great work and it seams that they have lots of jobs because of that.  it may make they a little hard to get hold of but once they are at you work site they are very good at what they do.

The owner, Roy Faulkenberry was very professional and courteous.  He provided an accurate esitmate and all the work was ultimately completed satisfactorily.  There were a few times when I was told I would receive a call back or email on a certain day, but ended up having to follow up myself.  In each instance there was a good "excuse" -- illness, unforeseen circumstances. That's fine, but it was still a little annoying having to stay on top of things myself.
I am very happy with the roof.  The work was completed in a timely manner and the crew was very skilled. They were able to find a solution for an area that had caused problems for years.  The new roof looks great and there have been no problems with the job so far.
I'm not as satisfied with the crew that worked on the gutters and exterior repairs.  While the gutters turned out great, there were numerous issues getting the other work done.  My guidance at the onset was, "Inspect all the soffit, facia, and trim and repair/replace as needed."  On three occasions I had ended up having to point out problem areas to the crew myself -- "What about that section right there?  Don't you think that looks bad?"  And then I got, "Oh yeah ... we'll take care of that."  Their first attempt at replacing trim on the chimney stack was aweful. When Roy inspected it, he agreed, was very apologetic and had the crew redo it.
Overall I'm satisfied with the end result.  Roy genuinely cares about quality of work and customer satisfaction.  It's unfortunate that the one crew required such close supervision to meet the standard.

He was very polite, very accessible and he had a good crew working for him.  They cleaned up after themselves and the price was competitive.  I have no complaints and I would use them again.

Went well from beginning  to end.

I didn't find them on the list.  We replaced all the windows in my home.  We have a double wide, and we put all actual house windows in.  My biggest concern was that all the houses in our area were being broken into and he did a little research and you can't break in to them.  It is extremely energy efficient, it cut my electric bill almost in half.  They also showed me other things I could do energy efficient wise, and to keep people from breaking in to a minimum, as far as my door and everything else.  They did excellent.  I had looked into a couple of other prices, and his prices were fair.  Customer Service was wonderful.  He got back to me the same day as I called him and come out the very next day to start on the estimate.  We are going to re vinyl the whole outside of our house and we are going to have him do it. for us.
