We had several quotes for the project from local pro's. Noel Smith won the bid hands down. He and his team were very professional, delivered and explained the bid in detail. He provided a warranty for his work, as well as, for the product he installed. He was able to handle additional work to repair exterior damage to soffit, fascia, doors and windows due to rain damage. We were very impressed by their work ethic and efforts to complete the job on time, and on budget. They are a dedicated team, reliable and deliver on their word. We would recommend him to our family and friends.

The timeliness and the professionalism that they showed while they were here I mean they were quick, got in got the job done and cleaned up, did everything that they needed to do that was great.

Because of his excellent Angie's List reviews, I contacted Noel in June regarding a property we were under contract to purchase as an investment property. Within 4 days, he return an estimate for the work and also addressed my husband's questions and concerns over roofing materials. Due to some local storms, the roofing job was delayed slightly but Noel imformed us of that issue and due to the fact we were not dealing with a damaged or leaking roof (just a necessary replacement- 23 year old roof), it was not an issue. When they were able to start, the work was completed quickly and efficiently. Crews were on site as expected, and were very courteous. They crew cleaned up all debris and even disposed of some other remodel debris as well :)

All work was completed on time and actually under budget...a rarity these days:) They did great work and I would definitely recommend them!

Our roof was damaged during hurricane Irene and needed to be completely replaced. This prompted us to join Angie's List to find a reputable roofer. We found Carolina Roofing and chose Mr. Noel Smith's company based on the excellent ratings his company was given.
Due to the overwhelming damage done to so many homes in our area, we were on Noel Smith's long list of jobs. Our damage was not an emergency situation, so we agreed to wait until those in most need of repairs were done first. It was definitely worth waiting for! Mr. Smith is a very honest gentleman who does exactly what he says. His estimate and evaluation of the condition of our roof was in complete agreement with our insurance appraisor. Mr. Smith is very knowledgable about all aspects of roof repair/replacement. Our roof has an extremely high pitch and is very large. It was a huge job, but there were always enough workers each day to get the job done.
They were a great team who worked well together. Each day they cleaned up completely and swept the area around the house with a magnetic device to ensure that there were no nails/debris left in the work area surrounding our home.
Mr. Smith advised us of the need for gutter shields to help make our gutter cleaning almost maintenance-free. He purchased and installed them for us and we are so happy we decided to do this.
The house looks like new with the lovely new roof, clean gutters and.....the icing on the cake....Mr. Smith's crew power-washed the entire house! We are so pleased and thankful to have found Carolina Roofing and highly recommend them! If it was possible we would add many pluses to the and quot;Aand quot; rating on Angie's List!

We called Noel back in November 2011 when we first noticed the water damage. He came right out, gave an estimate, but warned us it was going to be awhile until he could get back here (to Carteret County) to repair our roof. His company, Carolina Roofing, was extraordinarily busy due to the aftermath of Hurricane Irene and we, fortunately, did not sustain much damage, so on the grand scale, our roof could wait a bit. He told us to place a tarp over the damaged area over the kitchen, as that would stop the inside leaking; it did.

When his team arrived, they were experienced, careful, and expeditious. They first had to sand the old tar off the metal hand seamed roofs. The roofs were then patched, then sealed, then repainted with fresh tar. This process took about 1.5 days and while occasionally noisy and dusty, the workers did a fantastic job of not spreading the mess to our neighbors. The owner, Noel, came by frequently to ensure the work was progressing as he expected.

Additionally, we were given a fairly extensive warranty on the work as well as instructions on how and when to care for the roof in the distant future.

He did an excellent job. I would refer him to friends and family.

Their quote was by far better than the other quote; both were for the same materials. He was out about $400 from what the estimate was, and he told me that up-front. He told me that he always protects himself with his pricing, and if he got the job done quicker, it would come off of the bill. They tried to work me in as quickly as possible. There was a hurricane, and they made it here quickly.

My roof sustained damage during Hurricane Irene. I contacted Mr. Smith after finding him on Angie's List. He answered my call right away, came and gave me an estimate within a few days, and once I called him and gave him the go, the work was scheduled within 2 weeks. Mr. Smith was kind enough to work me in as my roof was not a large one and a simple job and it only took them 1 day to do the work. Mr. Smith provided a 10-year labor warranty.

I am thrilled with my new roof and very happy with the service and work Mr. Smith and his crew provided. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality, professional roofing job.

The roof on my house and facia on my husband's garage sustained damage during Hurricane Irene. Mr. Smith inspected the damage and gave me a repair estimate the same day I called him. Since there was exposed plywood on the roof , and since we were expecting more bad weather soon, Mr. Smith told me he would put our repairs toward the top of his list. He was at my home the next day to make the repairs.

I am more than pleased with Mr. Smith's pricing and the quality of his work, and I definitely will call him if I need roofing repairs or replacement in the future.

Noel Smith was a pleasure to work with. His estimate was reasonable, especially considering the challenges of my roof. He helped me pick out a color that really added to the esthetic value of my home. The roofing was done within two weeks in spite of extremely hot weather, rain, and smoke in the air. They worked section by section so there was never a huge amount of bare roof. What was started each day was finished. His crew was professional and courteous. Due to the extremely hot weather, I supplied them with a cooler full of Gatorade and soft drinks each day, which was greatly appreciated. : ) I was very impressed with how clean the work site was left each day and I have not found a single nail in the grass in the weeks since the work was completed. The job actually came in under the estimate because he bought back the shingles that were not used. The free power wash of my home was an added bonus. I know at least two more neighbors on my street that are going to have roofs replace by Noel Smith and his crew because of the quality and price of my roof.

Overall it went very well. The owner provided a same day thorough and competitive estimate. The crew arrived and began work as scheduled. It was unbelievably hot so they only worked a few hours each day. It took about 6 partial days to complete the job. The work is quality work and is guaranteed for 10 years. The Owner gave us a complimentary powerwash of the house.

I called the company because I found them on angie's list. Came out and gave me an estimate. I told them to do the job. He came back the following week as planned and did the job in one day. Was very professional and polite. Did the job in a timely manner and cleaned everything up after job done. Was very pleased with the job and will use again.

Excellent in all respects. If there was a danger of rain, plastic was installed over the portion exposed.
