Log Home Repair & Restoration

They have held our deposit of 10,000 since May and have yet to provide any work. Office help Ashley is useless in returning phone calls or emails!!!

This is the worst company I have dealt with. Paid them for work that they never finished and said they would refund but have not. They wrote a refund check on an account they said was closed which cost me a bank fee and then said they sent the check to the wrong address. 4 months later, no refund and no work completed after a year. A pathethic company - be careful

This is the second time we have used Log Home Repair and Restoration. They are true craftsmen in their field. I don't think I could find anyone to do a better job.
The first time was about five years ago to repair some bad logs. They did an excellent job repairing the logs.

This company is very knowledgeable and skilled about log home repair. However, they tend to work very hastily and it results in some less than satisfactory work. I would hire them again BUT I would watch them like hawks!
My repair and restoration was brought on by termite damage. The initial visit and evaluation by the company was very professional. However, the crew in their haste missed a noticable spot in stain removal, they overlooked termite damaged boards that I had to hire someone else to remove, replacement logs were cut to narrow - leaving a noticable gap, cob blasting and chinking material got in central heat and air unit, and damaged home security equipment cost me an additional $1,000+.
I would suggest that you be sure and make contact with the owner, David Groves before the job starts. He was most instrumental in working out other on site issues as they arose. His son Billy Groves leads the crew, but David Groves would be the best person to work with about job site issues.
There was substantial damage to my home and most of their work was satisfactory, but I would give them a grade of C or fair because of the carelessness and hastiness.

we own a log home and needed a professional to stain the exterior. This company had a crew of three men come at 9am in the morning and these gentleman worked all day till 7 pm. They worked hard and in the heat no less. The first day, they pressure washed the exterior. We had noticed some leaks, brought it to their attention and after they power washed the house they caulked EVERY nook and cranny! I was impressed. As one crew member caulked, the other two were staining. They took all of our down spouts from our gutters off the house so that they could stain behind them and then put them back up when they were finished staining. They also took all the screens on the windows down and washed them and my windows too! They took all of the furniture off the porches then put them back the way they found them. They whole process from start to finish took 7 working days. We are extremely happy with the way our home looks. The crew was courteous and respectful. The last thing they did was go around the house and pick up any trash and bagged it. We plan to use them the next time we need our home stained again and would highly recommend them. Log Home Repair and Restoration they worked from morning to night. They barley took any breaks in order to get the job done on time. They cleaned up after themselves. It is impossible to tell that there are new logs. They were efficient and very experienced. It was everything I was hoping for and more. We were very please with the outcome. I will use them again in the future.
