 + -1 moreIt was no problem as we took the car in the night before and left the key in a slot in the door. As we had no Toyota dealer in our area, we asked him to check it out and he did whatever needed to be done to correct the problem. I picked the car up the next day.

Description of Work: I have used Auto Tech for the past 10 years for the service and maintenance of a Ford F150 truck and Ford Taurus. In addition to the routine service maintenance and yearly safety inspections, Auto Tech has performed engine tune ups, brake repairs, air conditioning service, replacement of a faulty fuel pump, alignment and shocks.

 + -1 moreI was pleased in most instances and when the repair was not effective, they reserviced the vehicle until is was satisfactory.
Description of Work: I have lived in the area since 2000 and have used a number of auto service and repairs but AutoTech is my first choice. It was first recommended to my by a friend and former employee of the company. I have had my cars serviced there since summer of 2005 and I have not been disappointed, from simple oil changes to having the timing belt replaced on two different automobiles, they are fully capable of the simple and the more complex, and charge fairly for their services. I have owned and operated vehicles since 1964 and so I have considerable experience in judging an auto service organization and this is my choice as a resident of the Outer Banks. I have no affiliation or relationship with the company other than as a customer.

 + -1 moreI took it back and went for a test ride.....I was told everything was fine, even after repeatedly saying it is not, then the owner got rude with me and told me I could not show him anything was wrong and to go away. I called back after sending a complaint to the BBB and the lady there was also rude to me, told me she "DIDN'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS AND HUNG UP ON ME" DO NOT USE OUTER BANKS AUTOTECH.
Description of Work: oil was changed. the truck ran great before and even had ALL of the fluids changed out with synthetics (except pensoil for the oil) at the previous oil change....it ran GREAT just needed an oil change. It did not want to turn over leaving their lot but I didn't think too much of it. It does not run right now, it shakes noticeably and seems to not want to go, kinda like if it was way overloaded with weight. My 2002 pathfinder has been perfectly maintained and ran great until they changed the oil, now it is sluggish and shakes and they want nothing to do with it.
