Mike's Drywall

Mike Bess is a true professional and one of the nicest people you will ever meet! Never had we had a contractor that we felt this good about. He will tell you that he really loves doing drywall but it is also evident through his work. Mike has 20+ years in the business so he really knows all the tricks of the trade regarding drywall.
Mike is a one man team and uses a drywall lift that he has nicknamed "Gaffney" to help him with heavy pieces. He will joke that Gaffney is the best helper anyone could have because she doesn't talk back! Mike is also extremely trustworthy, a hard worker and puts in a full day. Mike was even willing to work weekends to get the job finished. He is very respectful and willing to please. On the first day I had asked Mike to give us a "courtesy call" so we would know when he was coming and every morning he called me on his way with his ETA which I greatly appreciated. He's just that kind of guy.
In the coming months we will be having Mike back to hang some additional drywall and to do some last minute drywall prep before having the whole area painted. It may sound silly but we really look forward to having Mike back.
My husband and I have built several houses and worked with many contractors over the years but Mike is one of the finest we have ever dealt with and I can tell you that we're very picky.
 

Mike just finished the first phase of our basement. I hung most of the drywall myself over the last few months. He was fantastic to work with. After dealing with another Drywall company last summer that was terrible, I had to write in about how great it was to work deal with Mike. Bottom line - He did a great job finishing our drywall. Many complicated angles in tight locations as I had boxed in around quite a bit of ductwork. He handled it like a pro. Did all the work himself (no sub outs) and was there nearly everyday. He sanded it last night and did a great job cleaning up. I am 100% ready for paint as soon as I finish my trim. Price was very reasonable as well. I would recommend Mike to anyone who appreciates great drywall finishing. I will definitely be calling him again in a few years when we are ready to finish the other half of our basement.
