It went well. They are a superb company.

This job was done several years ago but I just joined this list but saw that this company had an A Rating so I had to post this.  Unit was installed and within one day the the AC was blowing hot air in the dead of summer.  It did happen on a friday and I called the business phone and the main guys cell phone and left several messages with NO reply.  I did not get a call back until the following monday?.3 days in the heat  with a brand new system installed by Mac's and nobody's answering the phone.  My man said his cell phone was messing up??.Anyways, the pan in the attic was full of water, the cut off valve wires were all dangling in the pan full of water, they drilled a hole through my ceiling and filled it with caulk, the drain going outside was not secure and looked like it was sitting on a jinga puzzle.  I was a little p***** when I went in the attic and have pics to prove their crappy work.  When the head guy in charge went up there and I showed him?..his words were "yeah this is chicken shi#"Like I said I just joined this site for the sole purpose of finding a decent HVAC company and saw that Mac's had an A rating.  They are a C- on their best day in my opinion.

Mac's was very responsive and professional. Their prices were reasonable. He made several recommendations for the future service of our units as well. This is definitely who I will call for all my heating/AC needs. |

MAC's agreed to come this afternoon because I was busy this morning. He arrived promptly at 1:45pm and found the trouble was a failed contactor due to a bad outside thermostat. He replaced the contactor and got the unit working again. He will be back to replace the thermostat when it comes in. Both parts were under warrenty with the manufacturer.
MAC's does good work at a fair price and they are courteous and professional. I would always choose them.

Arrived on time as stated. Very efficient and professional. Cost was as stated. System installled was top name brand and new. No additional modification were required for new installation.

It was a very good experience. They came in, did their thing, cleaned up and left us a way to reach them for other follow up services. They had everything they needed and did everything we expected them to do in a very timely manner.

Came out same day that call was placed. Not only did they fix the electrical problem, they found another problem we didnt even know about and provided viable options.

I realized on a hot Friday evening that my Mr. Slim HVAC unit was not cooling. I contacted Mac's on Monday morning, expecting to be at the bottom of a long list of sweating people who discovered A/C problems over the first hot weekend of the spring. Instead, John told me they would get a technician out to me the same day. He called around lunchtime to tell me they would arrive after two. True to his call, he and Dan arrived around 2:30. They were both knowledgable about my particular HVAC unit, which is an uncommon type of system in this area. Dan found the freon leak, recharged the unit, and monitored its performance to ensure it was functioning correctly. John inspected my inside units and gave me a few maintenance tips. They were polite, efficient, knowledgeable and clearly explained what they did. Their fee was reasonable and their response time was outstanding.

It took John 2 Months to get the estimate to me. I asked for it in August but was not planning on the install until November. I waited because all the word of mouth recommendations were phenominal and they were right!! Mac and Sons were and are well worth the wait.! I would venture to say that I probably could have saved a few dollars, but it is worth it to me to have the type of job done that they did. It was like it was their own home. This company has quality work, service and integrity. When the one brother removed my old furnace, he told me that he could not finish the floor until the following day due to the fact that whoever put the old one in had cut out part of my floor joyse, It has been like that for altleat 26yrs. He could have put down the plywood and I would never have known the difference but not these guys!!! He saw it was not correct and did it correctly. Now that's integrity!! You actually get what you pay for and more.

The heat pump stopped cooling. Called Mac's to get troubleshooting. They discovered the leak in my attic heat exchanger and did a short-term repair to get it working while researching avenues of replacing the unit. After researching the system it was found it did not meet new state efficiency codes for A/C and R and heating systems. They replaced both units which continue to perform well five years later. They were very quick to get out and look it over, and were very informative and professional in their work.
