MURPHY'S TREE SERVICES

It went very well, the team were polite and professional, efficient and seemed to enjoy their work. The only minor complaint is that we received no notice that they were coming (we had not scheduled a specific day or time), nor did they check in when they arrived, they just started working. Regardless, they did a great job and also took care of a couple of last minute projects. I would definitely hire them again!

In fact we are going to use them again.

Very well for a large job. Have used previously satisfactorily.

It went extremely well.  Chris Murphy and his team showed up with the large crane at 9:30.  By 11:30 they had completed the tree removal and were gone.  Because of the location of the tree, the crane operator had to lift the sections of the tree over another large tree and lay them down in the street for cutting into sections and chipping.  The larger diameter branches will be used for firewood.  The trunk of the tree went to a saw mill.  Chipped wood was to be used a mulch.   Nothing was wasted.
The very large crane operation allowed the three or four large sections of the upper tree to be removed without having to cut them into small sections.  As a result, minimal chairsaw dust and chips were left around the base of the tree when the job was completed..  Cutting and chipping up the large  sections in the street made for cleanup easy..
Chris provided constant supervision of his climber, telling him where to cut and where to position himself during the cut for maximum safety.  Chris has been in business 25 years and he has good equipment.   His chainsaws were sharp enabling them to make cuts quickly.  I have cut firewood for the last 35 years.  Sharp chains make a world of difference.
The use of the large crane made for a very efficient operation, and can reduce the labor time (therefore costs) substantially, hence making Chris' fees very competitive.  Not only did  they use the crane to lift out the large tree sections, they used it like an elevator to hoist Chris and his climber up into the tree to attach to sections being cut.
Using a blower, they were able to thoroughly clean the street of chips and twigs.  It was a very neat operation.
I have already recommended Chris and his team to a neighbor.

I am writing in recognition of a young man who began his business when he was a younger man and has grown it to a thriving first class business.

In the years that I have lived in my house Chris Murphy has removed 5 or 6 trees from my yard. Those trees were taller than my split level house. There were 2 White Pines, 2 Spruce trees and 2 Maple trees, all full grown. They were removed one at a time over a period of several years. For one of the Spruce trees in my back yard he bought 3 large trucks; a bucket truck, a chipper and a third larger truck, because the tree was not far from my back door he literally covered a driveway and the lawn with large wood boards to drive the trucks over. When I saw what he was doing, I thought surely the boards would break, they did not. Each tree took more than a half day to remove, but when he was finished you could not tell that he had been there except that the tree was gone. He literally sweep my yard and sent a stump grinder to grind the stump away. I was so thankful!

I hated to see the tree go, but he and his crew made it less painful with each tree he removed.I find it hard to believe that anyone could do a better job in this chosen field than Chris Murphy. He deserves a and quot;AAAand quot; rating! Thank you!

They were great. We used them a number of times. They were fair, they were good, and reliable.

Happened so quickly, it was over in under a couple hours.

He came out the next week with four helpers, a chopper truck and a chain saw on a longer handle. They were very skilled and organized, and left the work site spotless. What wood and brush that was too small for us to use this winter they chopped up and took away, but they left us lengths of limbs that can be cut to work in our wood stove. And then the bill was $400. The tree doesn't look misshaped as I had feared and I'm very happy to have the work done at a fair price. Our neighborhood was hit hard by Ivan a couple of years ago, and though this tree suffered no damage then, I have a certain peace of mind knowing those limbs are not going to fall on me someday.
