THE POOL MAN

I had requested that they remove the stains in my pool. They just delivered the over priced products and left. I found out later i did not need 4 bottles of stainsol and the products only cost $12.00 a bottle. So for the other 4 bottles I did need it should cost $48.00.

This was a terrible experience and we were surprised to see that he was listed on Angie's List.

The owner Brian came and looked at my pool pump system and damaged pool deck in July. He said he would replace pump controls and repair the deck. I called several times when he did not show and finally caught him at a neighbors house in August. He said he would order the parts and give me a quote on the deck. It is now the end of September. I have been calling and leaving messages with no response.

The Pool Man, Brian, came out quickly to assess the situation. He also quickly diagnosed the problem, wrote out the parts we needed to repair our chlorinator and said he would be back the next day. After multiple unanswered phone calls up to 6 days later, our pool turned green and we called another service. We had informed him of our affiliation with Angie's List and warned him that we would be making a negative report if he did not resolve this. We still got no answer. He has done work for us in the past that was satisfactory. This time he cost us a bit of money in chemicals to get the pool back to usable condition.

I did not receive a follow-up call to arrange an appointment for services needed.

Brian was very prompt and courteous. He returned our calls quickly. We had him replace our pool liner at the same time we had the entire surrounding pool deck torn up and replaced, so he had to work in tandem with another contractor. He was very patient with the situation. His price was higher than other estimates received, however he was able to do all the extra work that needed to be done. This was good for us, because as the liner came out additional problems were discovered that needed to be fixed. The only thing that bothered us was his continuous criticism of the other contractors work. We found this annoying and unprofessional.

VERY PLEASED WITH THIS SERVICE/COMPANY. MR. WOOTEN IS PROFESSIONAL AND RESPONSIBLE. HE DOES WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO, CALLS YOU BACK, AND HIS CHARGES ARE REASONABLE. I VERY MUCH RECOMMEND HIM TO OTHERS, AND HAVING HAD A ENTIRE HOUSE RE-DONE INSIDE AND OUT DURING THE PAST YEAR, MY COMMENDATION IS A STRONG ONE, AND HE APPEARS TO BE AN EXCEPTION IN THE TRADES.

WORK WAS DONE IN THE TIMEFRAME GIVEN BY CONTRACTOR. WORKERS WERE PLEASANT AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.

CALLED AND LEFT MESSAGE TWICE ON 5/19 & 5/20. NO ONE CALLED US BACK; BUSINESS MUST BE GOOD!

ON THE DAY OF THE INSPECTION THE CONTRACTOR NEVER SHOWED UP. I CALLED HIM AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE HAD BEEN REALLY BUSY AND HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE APPOINTMENT. I USED SOMEONE ELSE. THEY WERE VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ME, BUT THEY SEEM TO BE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. IF THEY DO NOT SHOW UP TO DO THE WORK, WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THEM?

FIRST POOL REPAIR MAN WE HAVE HAD WHO KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. WELL ABOVE AVERAGE.
