Phil Flowers Stump Grinding

Dillon is very professional and did an excellent job grinding 4 stumps and cleaned everything up as well. I would definitely hire him again for a similar job.

Phil was great. He was prompt with scheduling the work. He had a competitive price and showed up the next day. I had a 52' oak that he was able to handle. He even took the care to advise me on an adjacent tree. He followed up with a picture of his work because I could not be there to review. I highly recomend!

Phil was able to come within a couple days after contacting him. I marked the stumps with landscape flags as suggested so I would not have to be present when they came. When I arrived home after work you would not know those stumps were ever there. The ground up wood chips were smoothed out level with the surrounding contour of the land and the guys took the time to clean the area of any stray chips or other debris. A job well done! Phil came on time, deployed his magnificent stump grinder and the stump was demolished in about 30 seconds.

An assistant tidied up the area and Phil put his grinder back on its trailer and left.

I think Phil provides a wonderful service at a reasonable price and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to remove a stump. 

Arrived early.  Worked  constantly until huge stump and many large roots were ground up.   Cleaned entire area.   It looks better than we  ever imagined.

Called Phil Thursday. Called me back. Told him where I was. He said he would be in the area the next day and would come by. Showed up when we said. Promptly looked at everything. Told me everything I needed to know. I am not very knowledgeable about this business. He did everything he said plus more. If this guy tells you something, take it to the bank. TF

Stump is ground. Didn't go as far down as I would have liked. Another company gave me an estimate of $175 for same stump.

Phil was referred to me by another highly rated tree cutting service on Angie's list who they use to subcontract their stump grinding. Phil provided a estimated price range for the work over the phone and came within about 1 day as he promised. Arrived on time and did the work within about 15 mins for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend him to others and would use again.

Phil call me after the tree removal crew had left on Tuesday evening and we agreed on Thursday morning weather permitting for him to grind the stumps. Phil arrived shortly after 8:00 A.M. he had completed the job by 12:30 P.M. He did an excellent job. He ground the large roots that extended from the trees to a point where they were covered by earth. He even ground a couple of large limbs that were stuck in the ground from falling the trees. They would have been very difficult to pull out and he saved the tree removal crew a lot of work by doing this.



Phil is extremely professional and friendly. You could not ask for better service. I will definitely use him again should I need any more stumps ground. The price was very fare based on the cost of good equipment (it appeared he was using some of the best available) and the time it took to complete the job.

I spoke with Phil Flowers over the phone and he gave me an appointment the very next day. Codie came out in the rain and had the tree stump ground down before 8:00 AM so that I could get to work. The stump was 2.5 feet in diameter with lots of huge roots going out another two feet - Codie cut everything up and leveled the area. Best money I spent all year.

Phil was recommended by another Angie's List provider who subcontracts stump grinding to Phil. I left a message for him and he promptly returned my call. He asked a number of questions to better understand the job. He indicated that maple trees have shallow root systems so he would need to grind an area around 6ft. from the tree to remove the roots. He asked about irrigation system and access to the back yard. He said we should wait until the ground dryed out so he would leave no ruts in our yard and that I should turn off my irrigation system until the job was done. I had a low voltage line runing close to the area and he was very careful to not cut it. When he was finished, he told me where I could use the mulch from the tree and to not use it close to the house because of the possibility of termites.
Phil was very professional and personable. I am VERY pleased!

Phil returned my phone call and came out the same day to give me a quote. His quote was very reasonable. We had 7 stumps to grind and the price was great and he even took out some old bush stumps we had. Very nice and professional and would defiantly use him again.

I emailed him right after the tree guys left. He emailed me back within an hour with an estimate. Within the hour emailed me back saying they had a cancellation and could do the work same day.
He and his co-worker used a fancy remote control stump grinder to remove all the stumps and he raked all the areas to leave things tidy.

Phil Flowers is quick and professional..I had a large stump very close to the house and driveway in a mulched bed surrouded by flagstone..I was nervous about having the work done because of the location..they had to come up on the lawn but they did a great job and cleaned up afterward...so we are very pleased with the work..

Phil ground down two stumps well below the soil line. I want to put in an 11-foot-diameter raised flower bed around where one of the stumps was, so he used his machine to grind up that entire area around the stump. That will make planting the area much easier! He also cleaned up after himself--raked the grindings into a pile and blew the debris off the driveway and lawn. It was a good price for a good job.

Contacted Mr. Flowers for an estimate. He was very professional and honest about what he had going on and within 48 hours was able to come and complete the work. He was fast, efficient, and very nice. He is very reasonably priced and would absolutely use him for further tree needs!
