HBO Carports

Terrible. Took a deposit and never completed the job. Told 4 to 6 weeks. Still waiting 14 weeks later.

We picked out a carport at a distributor in New York state. A deposit was given on 5/18/2013. HBO contacted us on 6/10/2013 to let us know they would deliver and install it on 6/19/2013. Arrangements were made to use a vacation day to be on site so we could pay the balance due, and oversee the job. On 6/19/2013 we got a phone call at 12:30 p.m. and the HBO driver said he was "running behind but would be on location by 5:00 p.m". Not only did they NOT show up but they didn't even have the courtesy to call us. If the dirver had called after 5:00 p.m., we could have made other arrangements with a neighbor so the job would have gotten done. I called the office the next day and the manager claimed she was sorry but was unwilling to do anything other than apologize. She kept asking what would I like her to do? She felt she was generously offering to refund us our deposit with no consideration for lost time. No incentive to salvage the sale was offered for any inconvenience. We cancelled the sale and HBO made no effort to keep our business. The New York distributor was very frustrated as well and returned our deposit. My experience was very unpleasant and their staff is very, very unprofessional.
