GREAT! Everyone associated with LF was terrific - incredibly customer service oriented! A few days after installation we had a VERY hard rain. Normally there's a "waterfall" outside my front door from the gutter overflow. Not this time. It was contained in the larger gutters and the debris from the storm did not clog my gutters due to the Leaf Filter product. By the way, I would NEVER have known anyone did installation of anything on my house if I hadn't seen the finished product. There was no construction residue of ANY kind. INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL from start to finish!! If you're on the fence about a gutter system, climb down and call Leaf Filter - you won't regret it!

We wish we wouldn’t have gotten them, they are trash! Not worth the money, spend your money on cleaning the gutters every year, leaf gutter protection will charge for anything so its not free and a life time warranty

This is an update to my previous review on 10/11. Leaf Filter did reach out to me after I submitted the review and sent someone out to unclog the areas where the splash guards were without me having to pay any service fee. I anticipate the same situation next year with those specific areas being clogged and I hope they will send someone out to clear them again since they advertise satisfaction guaranteed. Thank you.

I paid $2500 to have Leaf Filter Gutter guards installed. After one year, I can see the pine needles and leaves sitting on top of the filter and accumulating. They are not blowing off like the slick salesman said they would. My warranty says "money back, no clog, guarantee" which is not true. They wanted a $95 "service fee" to come out and wipe the debris off the filter. Well, I didn't need to spend a fortune on gutter protection if I pay an annual $95. I would have just forgone the filter and get them cleaned every year for about that price. Expensive waste of money. Don't do it.
Response from LeafFilter Gutter Protection
"We understand that being a homeowner comes with many responsibilities and the last thing you want to do is clean your gutters. LeafFilter is considered "low-maintenance" because like any exterior part of your home, there is some level of upkeep required for optimal performance. But rest assure you won't have to clean your gutter out. If you would like to discuss this further with a team member directly, please do not hesitate to call us at 800-749-4566."

LeafFilter gutter guards are heavily advertised, with the promise that "you will never have to use your ladder again". I am in a 55+ community, and using ladder is not advisable here. Like many houses, my gutters have "splash shields" at the places where extremely heavy flow is expected, for instance where a roof "valley" dumps into the gutter. After LeafFilter installation I had overflow at two of my splash shields. On request, LeafFilter came and adjusted the shields three times. I did not have overflow for several months after that, but eventually I again had heavy overflow. My inspection via a ladder (which LeafFilter says you will never have to do again) showed the LeafFilter mesh completely blocked by hardened pollen and other debris, where the splash shields prevented the debris from being washed over the edge of the mesh. The photo shows one of the problem areas, with the splash shield as modified by LeafFilter. After several conversations with LeafFilter, their final position is that this is a common problem with splash shields and the only solution they could offer is to make 2 service calls per year to clean the screens, at a charge to me of $95 per call. No refund, no further modifications. This is obviously not what their advertising promises. When asked about their "lifetime no-clog guarantee", LeafFilter points out that the guarantee is that the *gutters* will not clog, with NO GUARANTEE THAT THEIR SCREENS WILL NOT CLOG! At least one of my neighbors now has an identical problem. Splash guards are fairly common, so this is a caution that if you have splash shields, and are considering a gutter guard system, you should definitely avoid LeafFilter.

The gutter guards were not installed as promised. Gutters were not cleaned, properly graded and every joint leaks. I haves made numerous calls for warranty work. They will schedule an appointment and not show up, won’t answer the phone and the corporate office is no help. The warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s wrote on.

Crew #1 failed to seal or level our gutters, so a second crew came out two days later. Crew #2 also failed to seal or level our gutters. No response from the company after repeated attempts for completion of the promised work. Two months later, our gutters are still leaking drips, streams and fountains of water; and during a hard rain, walls of water splash out over our front porch. Absolute lack of professionalism... would never recommend this company to anyone. Our credit card issuer has initiated a fraud investigation. We’ve filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

LeafFilter North of North Carolina significantly damaged my front copper roof, gutters, Leafilter product and boxwood plants at the front of my house. In addition, they made an unauthorized charge on my credit card. On November 8, 2019 LeafFilter North of North Carolina installed a gutter cover that is supposed to prevent leaves and other debris from entering my gutters. LeafFilter agreed to initially do a partial removal of the old front gutter covers thereby permitting me to view the impact on the copper roof abutting the covers before complete removal, leaving the old gutter covers, if necessary, on the front of the house to preserve the copper roof. Instead, LeafFilter, without my permission, removed the entire front gutter system, significantly damaging the front copper roof and aesthetics of front of the house. LeafFilter North of North Carolina - Charlotte agreed to remedy the situation and sent someone to restore the copper roof. Unbeknownst to me LeafFilter tried to repair my copper roof with acid. The application of the acid served to not only further destroy the copper roof but caused the LeafFilter product itself, the gutters to be eaten away and the front boxwood plants to be damaged. I have been attempting to resolve this with LeafFilter since November 9, 2019. They sent someone to my house to take pictures. I provided that person additional pictures and estimates for repair, as he requested. Since that time LeafFilter has not returned any of my telephone calls.

Terrible from day one, Gutters leak at joints in several locations, water stands in gutters. Contract clearly states they will align and seal all gutters. Some of our gutters will not drain due to misalignment . Have had now 3 or more work orders to be performed, all have been no shows and no phone calls or text or emails.. Find yourselves a better source if need gutter guards. Big box stores sell them and lot lower price.

This was my first venture into gutter systems, and I can say when they are installed and glued correctly they work excellent. This review is not about the product but about the service to expect when you work with LeafFilter. Expect a hard sell, the salesman will insult you if you want to get a second opinion or if you want to wait to talk it over with your spouse. - this is where the discounts start piling on. In my case the first amount quoted verbally was $9,000 but after debating to kick the guy out of my house the price started dropping down to 7k them 4k and finally down to 3.25k for the install. The more insults and insinuations you endure the lower the price will go. At least this is what happened to me. My job was simple, install 2 new down spouts, attach them to my French drain and install the leaf filter system. The crew will work fast, they will work to get a crew to your house as soon as they have a check in hand, also part of their selling tactic. If you don’t commit on the day of the evaluation you will expect to pay several thousand more. I fell for this tactic. On the paperwork side my contract and my warranty have 2 different job numbers on them so expect some discrepancies! Expect the contract to be written in long hand and hope you can read the writing. Make sure all notes are on the actual contract and not other pieces of paper written on by the salesman. This is important for when customer service challenges what you agreed on with the salesman! On the day of the install the crew showed up on time, was very professional and worked fast. The downside was they didn’t bring enough material to complete the job! They did get the Leaf Filter system installed and completed installing one of the two downspouts to the French drain. They didn’t bring enough parts for the second downspout and I was told they would come back out the next day to complete the install. Fast forward a couple weeks and several service calls and apologies later they send a guy out to attach the downspout to my house and fix a leak in the gutters. Leaks happen and he just needed to add some more glue. The downspout was installed off center 6 inches from my French drain. Yes I could fix this but I paid the company 3k to complete the job. Fast forward several more weeks and one missed service call later I start calling daily. The new region manager answers the phone and informs me he sent out a service tech to take pictures of my house and he would be happy to share them with me and that it is against the company policy to attach anything to the French drain, well they already connected one! According to the managers explanations that the company will never connect their product to any underground system as they would be liable. Well I guess they are now by their own logic as they are 50/50 on target. So I can say expect follow up to be poor, expect the salesman to lie, expect excuses and apologies from customer service. Expect to cover the cost of any other follow up on your own. The fix for me is to pay 10 bucks to get the parts needed to connect my drain and drill a new hole in my brick house for the bracket. This is a follow up to my previous rating due to the several months of back and forth and frustration, I have added the picture of the two downspouts as my profile picture, 1 is connect to my drain, the other is not even close.

Horrible. More than a year after installation, dozens of photos, phone calls, emails, the damage to our home was evaluated by an "experienced builder" Arpil 2019 who dismissed our concerns as prior damage not at all related to installation issues. We had already planned a new roof but wanted gutter and gutter guard issues resolved before that by the company who guarantees their work. He said that the company would not make a promise like "we never end a downspout onto a roof." which was promised. Where that occurred, we have had leaks down the wall ruining the front porch ceiling and going to the basement where we had a 3 month battler with millipedes. Not their fault of course. He explained that they built a "scupper" in a problematic corner. Scupper is defined an "opening in the side walls of an open-air structure, for purposes of draining water to allow rain to flow off the side of an open-air structure, instead of pooling within the walls." Our version of "scupper" actually created pooling of leaves and water against the wall causing damage to the siding and into the walls and into our hardwood floors. Since we weren't happy with being dismissed as stupid and got a little loud in our protest, he left without looking at the gap between soffit and gutter on the back of the house or the siding disruption where a downspout was replaced in which a bee colony took up residence last summer and will be back. Before arrival to assess damage, he had pre-determined from photos that all damage since installation 15 months ago was pre-existing and could not possibly be related to any deficit in installation during the record rainfall year we just experienced. Bottom line: don't waste your money on this expensive system. If you are replacing a roof, let your roofer include gutters and gutter filters in your roof deal. Don't trust that this company stands behind their installation

Summary – I paid a huge price thinking I was getting a quality product and quality installation that would be done by LeafFilter employees (not true – they are sub-contractors and I have since found online that the installer was arrested in 2014). Right now I am very unhappy with the quality and service and I feel VERY taken advantage of regarding job 13295 done on Nov 18, 2018 . All repair work was not done that was promised during installation. I can see obvious gaps. It has taken me many, many phone calls and over a month to get someone to come back. They then sent the same person that installed the system and he did not correct all of my issues. They scheduled several appointments and did not show up with no phone call. I see no improvement in how much leaves pile on top. Salesman Brantley Dunn told me: • All work is done by LeafFilter. Project Manager later told me that all are sub-contractors. • I did not have to be home for the installation. I wish I had been because I have found many issues. • Rotting wood would be replaced. If issues that were not visible were found, I may have to pay extra. I still have a lot of visible rotted wood and am now being told that this company never does repairs of soffit. • I requested flat screws be used so debris will not hang on the gutters. He said he would ask the installer to do so. The screws are NOT flat and are between 6-10 inches apart. • Rotting issues are in corners where splash guards were in place. He recommended having those removed and I agreed. This was NOT done. Installation Chris: • There is still a lot of visible rotting wood that was not replaced as I was told it would be. I question whether any interior inspection was done since obvious issues were not fixed. • Splash guards were not removed upon installation. When I finally spoke to a project manager a week after my 1st call to customer service, he said that it is company policy to install those. But said they would take them off if I wanted. For the price I’m paying, I expect them to be the expert and not give me conflicting information. • There are very visible gaps on the edges and in the corners. • Debris was left on site • Due to the poor quality of the work that is visible I question whether the interior work was properly done to the gutter. • There is NO improvement over my previous gutter guards regarding the leaves piling on top. I was told by both the Salesman and the Installer that some may pile up but most should blow off. When I mentioned this to the Project Manager Bryan on 11/26/2018, he acted like I was crazy to think they wouldn’t pile on top.
