Floor Coverings International

I was very very happy with Floor Coverings International. The owner Marty was very knowledgeable and very detailed in providing me an estimate to have my stairs and my options for the landing. Upon installation, his team was professional and very knowledgeable as they had been installing stair runners for 30+ years. I was happy Marty was there on installation as well to discuss options, due to how my stairs were constructed. Overall I am very happy with my final product, Marty and his team worked tediously to make it perfect.  If I had gone with another company I received an estimate from, which the price was the same, I know the final product would not have been as beautiful and actually would have caused damage to my stairs. 

Marty and his team were very professional and helpful in all phases of the project. While not a big or complex job they performed as if it was equally important, we are very pleased with the results and their responsiveness to scheduling challenges.

It went very well. The runner and mat are beautiful and very high quality. Marty was very easy to reach. The few times he didn't answer his phone immediately, he returned my calls very quickly. In terms of the cost, it is very difficult for me to evaluate that dimension. That is, Marty was the first and only person to give us an estimate. While we intended to seek other estimates, we were so impressed with Marty that we didn't pursue other options.

I was concerned that the edges of the carpet on our stairs had darkened over the years and couldn't be cleaned thoroughly. I asked Marty for an estimate to recarpet the stairs. He came by and gave me his honest opinion that the carpet still looked great, was good quality, and did not need to be replaced for selling. He felt it would be a waste of our money to do anything, though he did have carpet available that would be a good match. I was relieved and appreciated his honesty! What a great guy!

Marty and his crew did a great job and were extremely professional throughout the process. Marty gave us an honest evaluation of what we should have done rather than trying to sell us on a more expensive solution. The job was done well and we love the new carpet they installed to our downstairs. Would recommend and will re-hire when it comes time to do our upstairs.

Marty and his crew were beyond wonderful to work with. Professional, punctual, and extremely friendly. The entire process from the initial meeting with Marty to his crews installation went seamlessly. Would 100% recommend to others and would hire again.

I do not know where to start. . . Mr. Hartwell (owner) and his crew are THE most professional, honest, and polite contract workers I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with in North Carolina! During the entire process (in-home quote, installation), Mr. Hartman was a breath of fresh air and he quickly made me feel at ease about hiring his team. He told me about his business, shared references, and took his time to explain the entire process. When installation day rolled around, he was punctual and very proudly introduced his crew before starting the job. I LOVE my floors. Top notch craftsmanship, excellent customer service, fair pricing . . . It doesn't get better than Floor Coverings International!! You, Mr. Hartman are a class act! (and yes, he deserves all of this praise and more!)

Marty Hartwell was great to work with. He brought samples to my home and offered many helpful suggestions for making the right selections for our needs. The installers did a great job on both the carpet and stair runners. The carpet and stair runners look great. I certainly plan to use their services again in the future.

Marty and his team did a great job for us! He was always responsive and helpful when I had a question. If you are thinking about new flooring, you should definitely give Marty at Carpet International a call first! I highly recommend!

Exceptionally well!!! Marty offered great advice, as I initially planned to have him replace a section of carpet that had been removed during a remodeling project. He patiently described the possible outcome of what I'd planned to, making quite clear that my end result would be an absolute eyesore and a potential fall hazard. Recognizing that I had not initially planned to replace a full room of carpet, he guided me through making a beautiful selection that was comfortable for the wallet and nicely complimented my newly painted walls. Within less than 2 weeks Marty and his team were at my home installing the carpet. It's beautiful! Great work!!!

The instillation was done in a very professional, meticulous and timely manner. We are so very happy with our decision to go with Floor Coverings International and we will use them again for future flooring needs!

Marty and his installation teams did an awesome job. He is great to work with and is very service oriented. He worked to understand what I was looking for so he could offer options I liked that were also within my budget. Installation was a breeze as his teams took care of everything including moving furniture and dealing with plumbing in bathrooms. I felt like I was in good hands throughout the process, and the end result is even better than I hoped for. I would not consider calling anyone else when I am ready to start work on the downstairs flooring.

I can't say enough good things about Floor Coverings International. Marty Hartwell, the owner, was able to help my family out on short notice due to a family crisis. He went above and beyond to ensure that the bedroom was finished for my mom within a week! Marty is a pleasure to work with, reliable, and does quality work! Very well, Marty was very helpful in selecting the appropriate materials for the projects. He always arrived on time and the instillations went without a hitch. His installers also left everything spotless and moved major furniture back into place. We would recommend him verh highly.

Came out beautifully. Woods look great and can't hardly tell the difference between the hardwoods in each room.

The quality of his products and the available colors he was able to bring to our home were vastly better for the price. His customer service and flexibility really made the difference comparing with competing companies. He worked around our crazy schedule and even came on days off to come confirm measurements and/or confirm product selections. The only tiny negative was that he mentioned nailing down boards was included in the cost of service, but our house needed extensive work to the point he said they would try their best but could not commit to handling all the affected areas. This was unfortunate as it was important the carpet company we went with was able to handle this. Luckily, we had a handy man painting our walls before the carpet installation and he was able to get 1/2 of the spots and then the remaining spots Marty was able to handle. Besides that one minor detail, the rest of the experience was immensely positive! Wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to a friend/family member.

Marty Hartwell was great to work with! He went the extra mile by pulling up the carpet early himself in my living room and hall to allow me time to treat and seal the subfloor to make sure there wouldn't be any lingering pet odors. His team were very professional and were able to complete each floor of the house in a day. I would definitely recommend working with this group.

Wow, a great company. I needed to have stairs carpet replaced. The job was not too small they were glad to help me find what I needed. They took the time to ensure color was right with samples. Always returned phone calls and emails in a timely manner, even on weekends! The stairs look great! I am so pleased!!

Excellent. There were a few challenges and Flooring International did a outstanding job throughout. Marty stayed in touch with me throughout the process. I appreciated how well he wanted to see our floors look great. With his supervisor Carlos they did a wow job. This now exemplifies how well they do. Our floors look spectacular.

From the beginning of this project, Marty was awesome to work with . I really appreciated his advice and knowledge of what would work best for this project. He came out numerous times with different samples of carpet and flooring in order to make sure I was happy with my choices.
