Description of Work: wanted hime to change my garage to a bonus room and lay an extra driveway and build a shed for all the stuff in my garage.

Description of Work: Well, started great! Gave 1/2 down and then he was right there and on my roof ( hired for roof and siding) anywho, wowza I was new to construction and had not clue he was so believable I had been told I had roof rot, and the plywood needed to be replaced. He told me it was not something that can be cut out and stupid me I listened and paid 2,000 more to replace the plywood on my roof. He was to remove the plywood there AND DID NOT HE LAID PLYWOOD ON THE NOT ROTTED plywood and then busted my skylight and all sorts of things leaked BTW never leaked with the old roof just was old and I got a tax credit to pay for home improvements so that is what we did! WRONG we got screwed out of our money... He was to put a ridge cap in well put 4 diff ones and looked like mickey mouse on my roof.He blamed the workers and then came took them and never replaced, Nailed tar paper all over my home and wrecked my ceder siding BTW never had an issue just did not want to paint again ever so siding sounded great...WRONG..His employees came back and told me teh shingles were slolen from the big church on Hibbs road, he took my gutters to the recycle center and I still 2 years later dont have a proper roof, he never finished my siding that he was paid down payment for. lied and lied, we have him in court as does the town of Newport on my home...there is so much more but My roof leaked so bad I have had some issues by this and wowza learned a long val. lesson!! I met a young marine who had the same thing happen to him BUT he never got a new roof he striped his and that was that never came back, he did the house behind me and the place was condemed for adding a room that the roof could not hold, there is one in front of me that he did and put a room over the garage and again not called in an engineer and that one is in bad shape too... He has showed us a general contractors lic, and ins and they were both forges doc. as he is NOT a general cont. or have ins....He told us he was a army disabled war vet NOT TRUE never served, he has used his dead dads name, long history of this type of flim flam to people and guess to make it worse for us he moved in right behind me, I was told my a police friend and OMG had to see him all the time wanted to worng his neck...HAHA I saw him catting around to do work in our subdivision ( White Sands Newport) and went to the guy and showed him all the damage to my home...the guy did not listen and I have to laugh as he was warned!!!!! He tore off his roof, left and put tar paper on it and when we got the big storm last year ROTFL guess what...this guy now is upset he did not listen...He has thousands in damage over this jerk! To make it worse I learn all kinds of things on this jerk and he took a poor old 80 something lady in New Bern and painted cardboard copper and used as flashing on her home...well when the rains came...... Bottom line there is a special place in H*** for people like this, You have been warned please let others know also...BUT YOU DONT NEED TO WORRY TOO MUCH FOR NOW HE IS BACK IN PRISON :) where that dirt bag trash belongs!! Thief, lier, cheat

Description of Work: My husband worked for this man. He saw first hand how he would start a job, work long enough to get a down payment on the job, then go to another job. He would leave these customers in the dark, coming up with excuses why he hasnt finished the job.

Description of Work: I contracted Lester Edwards to replace shingle, tear off wood siding and replace with vinyl siding.
