The lead up to the actual project was good. Wyatt Sr. has a good reputation and the experience to make good recommendations. The architect they work with is exceptional. Wyatt Sr. told us that his son (Wyatt Jr.) would be handling the job because it was a "little project" for them. The first issue began when they tore the back porch off the house and didn't come back for a month. Apparently the mason who was going to make the brick foundation was over booked with work. When the project resumed we found that any simple request would be forgotten about. Wyatt Jr. simply refused to write anything down. An example would be that they left our crawl space wide open with no door for about 6 weeks. I must have asked him 4 times to close it up before they did. They also left the job site very dirty strewn with paper, wood scraps, etc. the entire time. They didn't even clean it up for Christmas. The largest mistake made in construction was their failure to add the joist hangers required by the plan. They covered everything up with trim and siding before the inspector could see the work. It caused us to have to pull the siding and trim back down to do the repair and prove to the inspector it was done. At this point we had fired them from the job because Wyatt Jr's behavior became intolerable. We finished the project with our own subs. They of course never reimbursed us for the needed repairs. My advise is that if Wyatt Sr. sells you the job ask who is running it. If it is his son, tell him no thank you!

WAC was very professional, removed shoes when entered house to discuss project and every time he needed to. His teams as punctual, cleaned up each day, items were delivered when expected and early in the day. Project is about 90% complete waiting for brick to be made at plant. The subs that WAC uses are all professional, neat in daily cleanup and punctual.

WAC Contracting did a phenomenal job!!! Wyatt Clark (owner) is one of the most committed, ethical, honest individuals we have ever worked with (and we have done many construction projects in the past); not to mention, a great guy! He was on the job every day and always accessible and responsive when we had questions or needed him for anything. He worked with us on an ongoing basis to keep us informed of costs and to manage the budget. Wyatt Clark Jr. (Wyatt's son) and his team who do all the framing were amazing! This was extremely complex and tricky framing and they did a beautiful and skilled job. All of the sub contractors that That WAC Contracting uses are excellent! For 10 months there were workers in and around our home and not once was there a problem. They were all very skilled, professional and courteous. Dianne Clark (Wyatt's wife) who runs the office side of the business does a phenomenal job! Not only is she extremely organized, keeping the business side running like a well oiled machine, she also has a great design eye and was a godsend when it came to making design decisions such as fixtures and finish materials!
It is definitely 'buyer beware' when it comes to construction contractors; something we have learned over the years. It can be hard to find a company who will be honest, trustworthy and dependable and easy to work with, who's number one goal is achieving customer delight. WAC Contracting is that kind of company! Wyatt understands that his reputation is his business. We HIGHLY recommend WAC Contracting for any new construction, remodel or addition regardless of size and would definitely use them again!

From start to finish, WAC Contracting was wonderful to work with. We had a very limited time frame to get this project done, and they were able to get us a firm quote and begin work as soon as possible. The quality of workmanship is impeccable. Wyatt and Wyatt Jr. (father/son team) are very detail oriented and we wanted to make sure that our "new" bonus room flowed with the existing floor plan. After completion, our home looks as though the bonus room was original to the home. Crown molding styles were matched, hardwood floors were matched, and everything looks beautiful. The project was finished on time and on budget. Since WAC Contracting is a family owned company, Wyatt or Wyatt Jr. were always available to take our phone calls, answer questions, and meet with us to discuss details as the project went along. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend WAC Contracting to anyone looking for superior quality work for any major remodels or even building from the ground up.
