I had gone through a lot of awful carpenters and I found Richard who is terrific. He lives in Troutman, North Carolina. He's a good carpenter. I don't want him to get busy as he's already getting busy and I can barely get him, but just being fair, the guy should have a positive review because he has done a great job for me. I got a referral to him from an a/c guy. Richard comes out with a little crew of guys that he works with all the time very closely. He works himself and he doesn't sit around and order like most of the other guys. None of them smoke and none of them are alcoholics. Almost every carpenter I've had has been an alcoholic. They come in drunk and they look scroungy. I don't mind what they look like as long as they work hard, but most of them are just worthless. They don't clean up after themselves and leave a mess even though they say that they have cleaned it up. I've had hard stories with carpenters. This guy and his crew are Cracker Jack. They are all baby boomers like me and they are all nice and tight and sharp. None of them take cigarette breaks or has alcohol in their breaks or anything. They are all Johnny on the spot and it's just perfect. He spent a lot of time with the other guy making sure the door was just right the last time at no charge. I would rate him as highly as possible on every category. Whatever one gets done with this guy, he's just terrific. The guy is real good. He would meet me whenever we wanted to discuss different products. He is not on the clock. He's only on the clock when he is actually working. He's absolutely dependable. I cannot say anything that's not good enough for this guy.
Description of Work: Richard Mendrick is a carpenter. I got an estimate the last time because I'm going to have the guy do some more work for me. He had put in some new doors and windows for me and when he came to give me an estimate, he adjusted it as I was having a little trouble with the door. He does carpentry; he does handyman stuff and replaces windows and doors. I had him replace a door and a bunch of windows.
