+ -1 moreWe have no problems with them at all. We're very lucky we have doctors there. All the people that we go to, we're very pleased. We've been going there since early 2005. I don't see us going any place else.
Description of Work: Our primary doctor is with Primary Care Associates of Lake Norman. We went there for our flu shots.

+ -1 moreI really like her, though her practice is pretty small right now. She is fairly new in this area, and has plenty of time to attend, which is really good. She is very kind and she also takes time to explore different treatment options, like alternative care and traditional care options.
Description of Work: For me and my mother, Dr. Michelle Ong is the primary care internist. I have cancer and she manages the treatment.

Description of Work: My previous physician quit practicing medicine in late 2012. I contacted Dr. Ong's office to set up an appointment as a new patient. Approximately 2 weeks prior to my visit on Jan 16th, I had been sick with a bad cold for three weeks. I called Dr. Ong's office and they worked me in for a sick visit that very afternoon even though I was not yet a patient. I did wait at that appt but did not have an issue with it since they worked me in on a Friday afternoon! I was grateful to be seen and receive the medication I needed to get well. On my scheduled appt, Dr. Ong was not only prompt, but she spent the necessary time with me to go over all of my concerns, answer my questions, and look back at the records that had been forwarded from my former doctor to review my medical history. Having a doctor that spends time with me when I'm seeking medical attention and not herding me in and out of the office like a production line is very important to me. I requested a referral to a dietician and was pleased with the promptness in setting up an appt for me. At both of my visits at Mooresville Internal Medicine, the office and nursing staff were very friendly and helpful. I have a follow-up appt scheduled with Dr. Ong and I've referred two family members to her. I'm very pleased with the medical care I received.

+ -1 moreMy first appt and each appt since, have been above average . I am used to waiting anywhere from 15-45 minutes to get into a room then another 15 minutes before the Dr. comes into the room. Each time I have gone to see Dr. Ong I have not waited longer than 10 min to be brought into a room and not more than 5 minutes before she comes into the room. The time spent at my appointment with the Dr. never seems rushed , she has always given me her full undivided attention and acts as though I am her only patient for the day. She explains things in a way that can be understood and seems to really care about your well being.I would recommend her to everyone and anyone who needs a primary care Dr.
Description of Work: I recently moved into the area and was looking for a primary care to continue my medical care. I just picked a random facility that would give my husband and myself a variety of Dr.s to chose from. Mooresville internal medicine fit the need.It was close to our home and had many Dr.s to chose from . After a little research online I decided to go with Dr. Ong. and I have been very happy .

+ -1 moreHe is very personable. He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. I had hardly any wait at all. The staff is very professional but friendly. He is very punctual, which isn't what you're used to at a doctor's office. They are always smiling, and they make you feel like you're the only one there.
Description of Work: He is my primary care physician. I have been seeing him for about three months. My husband has been seeing him for a year.

+ -1 moreOnce when my daugter was visiting from VA, the baby got sick. Since we decided we did not want to go to the emergency room, I called Dr. Doheny, and he saw my grandchild within an hour. My daughter and son were very impressed with him. He was so gentle and took a lot of time with him and explanation to the parents.
Description of Work: As a physician, he is an excellent patient educator. I like that. It helps me understand why he may be precribing some medication, for instance. He explains medications, fully, why you need, why not necessary. He is very willing to listen and work with patient. I saw him a few months ago and was having trouble getting a good night's sleep, but I just didn't want to add another rx to those I already take. He told me some of his patients find melatonin very helpful. I tried it, and have had the best sleep! It is rare that I have trouble sleeping.
