I contacted various Andersen Window dealers in the Charlotte area.  Each estimating appointment felt more like a "dog and pony" show.  Frustrated, I contacted Andersen Windows Corporate and they recommended Hoke Lumber.  The man at Hoke Lumber said they only work directly with contractors and he recommended JBC.  He said "give me a call back, if you have a problem.. but I doubt you will... the Johnson brothers are the best."  
He was right!  Joe was knowledgeable about old homes, took the time to listen to what I wanted, and made the process great from start to finish.  
Joe helped me get the information I needed to pass the historical districts approval process and helped me select the design that I love.  When it came time for installation, Joe and his team were professional and efficient.  They installed all 26 windows in less than 4 days and I could not be more satisfied with the outcome.  
I am in the midst of a 6 month, whole-house restoration of a old home... I've interviewed and worked with several contractors-- Joe and his team are leaps and bounds above the rest!

The overall experience was excellent. If you need anything done I would recommend them.

We really appreciated their work. They were so good. They took their time. They measured twice and cut once. They were very thorough when they were putting in the windows. They did it right the first time. They put our windows and doors in a year ago and so we had them come back and put our windows in. We just really really liked their workmanship. Their price was not the cheapest but they were the best. We will use them again since we have got two doors that we need to put in.

I had Luke Johnson out to give me a quote on an under deck ceiling system. I liked his idea and his price. However, since Luke was not the person who originally built my deck, I presented Luke's idea to the contractor that built my deck. He felt like he could do that work and would match Luke's price; so I let my original contractor do it. After several months of the ceiling not functioning the way that it should and many attempts by contractor to fix it, I was not pleased with the results. I called Luke Johnson (and asked his forgiveness for giving the job to someone else) and asked if he would come take a look and see what was not done correctly. He came out two days later, fixed it all up (which involved taking it all down, putting more support beams and putting it all up again) and I have been very pleased with the ceiling ever since! Thank you Luke!!

Job went very well. Very responsive. Provide quote one day after calling and started work 2 days after agreement on job. Workers were very polite and quickly installed doors.
