JC Byrd Plumbing

Mr. Byrd returned our call within the hour, gave a couple suggestions over the phone of things to check before he came out, then arranged to come out within a couple hours. He came and was able to replace our old unit with the one we had purchased. His work also greatly improved our water pressure. We have been so happy with his work, and he was very reasonable. He came on a weekend, which was very convenient. His hours of availability are midnight to noon, which is a bit unusual but worked well for us. We will both recommend him and use him again.

We have had no further problems

Mr. Byrd was the consummate professional. He was on time, courteous and exceptionally well equipped to handle all of our plumbing needs in an expeditious and cost conscious manner. Very soft-spoken and kindly, he put my wife at ease immediately.

Excellent as always when I call JC for plumbing needs. I have depended on him for several service calls and his customer service is always paramount. He came and checked everything in addition to a few other tests to make sure there were no issues. Turns out all was in good order and cause was the outside lines slushing over after the recent snow storm. When it was time to pull my checkbook out, he refused to bill me at least for his time. Left me speechless. In short what an amazing person he is and not to mention a very good plumber.

We accidentally drop something down the drain in our kitchen.  We assumed it would be caught in the trap and eventually cause a blockage and other problems.  I called Mr. Byrd and we made an appointment for the next day.  He arrived promptly and was able to clear the line for us.  He was professional and prompt.  I would recommend him.

We had a leak under the kitchen sink and even  turning the water off could not stop the dripping. We called Mr Byrd and explained the situation. He made an appointment and arrived on time. He replaced the leaky faucet and the leaky connections under the sink. He was done in no time at all and we are very happy with the results. This is not the first time we have called Mr Byrd to the rescue. He never disappoints.

During the week of Thanksgiving our well tank became inoperable and was causing uneven water pressure throughout the house. Because of the holidays, it was difficult to find someone to come out for a repair. Upon calling Mr. Byrd, he was able to come out the same day, in bad weather, and take care of it. 
He did a wonderful job and charged a very fair price. Because I was so impressed with his work and knowledge, we set up another appointment with him in January to come out and take care of several other issues I had been meaning to get taken care of. 
It was during the bitter cold days of January. Because I knew he would be outdoors, I called him the day before and asked if he wanted to re-schedule his work on a warmer day. He stated it would be no trouble and said he would be onsite as scheduled. The next day came, and I scheduled time off to be here for him. But, he never showed, nor did he call. Considering his previous promptness, I found that very surprising. I've never heard back from him, so I had to research another plumber to come out and do the work I needed.
I was very happy with Mr. Byrd's work, but found it surprising that he never showed up for his appointment, and never called me back. Perhaps it was a communication misunderstanding, but I'm still surprised I never heard back from him.
I am giving him good marks for the work he did do, but disappointed I wasn't able to have his help with the other issues I needed to complete.

Mr Byrd was able to schedule my service for the next day and arrived right on time.  After inspecting my faucets, he had to get parts and returned a couple hours later.  I thought one faucet would have to be replaced, an expensive and time consuming job which he could have billed me for.  But JC said a simple tightening of the screw would fix the problem, which it did.  The other faucets were repaired in less than an hour and JC's bill was very reasonable.  I will definitely use Mr Byrd for my next plumbing job and appreciate the great service.

Mr. Byrd showed up promptly after I called in a panic, on a Saturday.  He then made the necessary repairs on Sunday so i could have water again.  He is punctual, professional, and reasonably priced.  He makes good recommendations for mitigating future problems.

Early in the afternoon on Monday we discovered water  dripping from the ceiling in our library. We called Mr. Byrd and explained the situation. He promised to be at our house within an hour. When he arrived, he quickly assessed the situation and went to work. He changed the seal on the toilet in the bathroom above the library and that fixed the leak. We asked him to check another toilet that was a little sluggish. It also needed a new seal which he changed on the spot as well as a corroded bolt that was causing the toilet to leak to the basement below. All in all, we were extremely pleased with his willingness to come so promptly and fix our problems. His price was incredibly right. What a relief! We recommend him to anyone in the area who needs quick and courteous service.

They were on time for the original appointment. When they realized they couldn't get a special part until the next morning, they arranged to return at 8:00 am with parts to finish the job. He was right on time in the morning and was done in about an hour.

The leak wasn't fixed so I called Mr. Byrd for a follow-up visit the next day. I explained that he had not fixed the problem & I asked what it would cost to fix the drain. He said $85 for the visit plus parts. When I told him that I should not have to pay again for another visit needed because he had not fixed the problem the day before, he said "I think I'll pass on this one". Then he left without fixing my tub drain. I would not recommend using this plumber.

he called to let me know that he would be about 1 hour late.  he arrived at the premises to find that he did not have the materials to make the repair.  he then returned twice before completing the repair.  final job appears to be adequate.  no leaks.  very nice gentleman.

The plumber told us that he would be at our house at 4:00-ish and never showed up.  I had to contact him 45 minutes later only to find out he had tried to call but told me he lost the number.  Not a good start.  He did come back the next day around 10:30 in the morning and try to make it right.  He never located the leak, but didn't charge anything.  It was the right thing to do.  However, he left sheetrock dust all over everything.  Should have been cleaned up a bit more before he departed.  Overall very professional.  Would recommend to anyone.
