ARK MOVING & STORAGE

Three guys spent the majority of their time on a cell phone and complaining how hot it was outside. When they had finally finished for the day and it was time to write a check, they attempted to "wheel and deal" with me offering a "discount" if I paid cash!! I wonder if the company knows of its' workers practices!! They also damaged some of my furniture and the company attempted to pay me off with a small fee. When I told them I wouldn't accept that, they sent someone out about a week later to repair the damages. I absolultely would not even consider using this company's services again, nor would I recommend them to anyone!

Three guys came. One man was constantly on the phone. Another man was getting into all of our things and making himself right at home. They asked for cash for a tip. They were very unprofessional. They were also pushing us to hire them privately on the side. We were going to use them to move those things into our new home, but we definitely chose not to use them after the initial experience.

I'm searching for a word...nightmare? Unfortunately, that implies you wake up. The whole process required a great deal of time, effort and frustration from my pregnant wife who was managing our 1 year old. I had to take over 30 minutes to make multiple calls to the Ark office to rectify the situation. The manager was wholly un-apologetic and his response was, ''it got moved didn't it?'' After a 20 minute conversation, he gave me a $25 credit, so it took $200/2+hours of frustration to move a desk 3 miles. Can I wake up now?

They got lost getting to our house. They called for directions and let us know they'd be a little late. There were 3 men who came and moved us in 2 trips. They were very careful with our stuff. I found only 1 broken item and it was my fault (how it was packed) not theirs that it broke. We have a TON of stuff and they worked all day long. They were VERY polite and friendly and worked very hard. They kept our floors clean and were extremely careful with all our furniture. We labeled all our boxes with moving tape specifying the rooms and they put the majority (95%) of the boxes in the right rooms.

The driver was named John Stephen and he had two other men to help with the delivery. Ark Moving arrived 45 minutes earlier than the scheduled pickup time and promptly delivered the furniture. They were very professional and verified that none of the items were damaged. The only discrepancy was a mathematical error on the invoice but it was immediately corrected. I would use the Ark Moving company again.

I've used Ark 4 times over the past 9 years. With the most recent move, the men showed up on time and worked hard to get the move completed quickly. My one issue was that they dragged my 6 month old mattress across the ground, since the side was covered in dirt and twigs. They also ripped a hole in the bottom of the mattress. However, when I brought it to the management's attention, they quickly sent me a check. (I did not purchase extra insurance, so I was only reimbursed 60 cents per pound of the mattress.)

LEFT SCUFFS ON WALLS, DAMAGED FURNITURE, AND DIDN'T WRAP ANYTHING IN BLANKETS. I SENT AN EMAIL TO THEIR OFFICE, BUT GOT NO RESPONSE. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

ARK WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION ABOUT THE PERSON COMING TO GIVE THE ESTIMATE (ENDED UP RESCHEDULING FOR 2 HRS. LATER THAN APPOINTMENT), AND THE MOVERS GOT LOST AND WERE AN HOUR LATE. HOWEVER, THEY WERE REALLY CAREFUL WITH OUR STUFF, AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THE MOVERS SHOWED UP 10 MINUTES EARLY, WERE COURTEOUS AND FINISHED UP ON TIME WITHOUT ANY DAMAGES.

MOVERS WERE NOT WELL INFORMED AS TO THE SCALE OF THE JOB. THE QUALITY OF PACKING AND CARE TO GOODS DIMINISHED AS THE JOB LASTED LONGER THAN EXPECTED. MANY ITEMS WERE DAMAGED AND THE COMPANY WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SETTLE WITH. THE COMPANY USES SUB-CONTRACTED LABOR.

KEITH & RUDY OF ARK MOVERS PICKED UP MY FURNITURE FROM THE RETAIL FURNITURE OUTLET THAT WAS LOCATED 10 MILES FROM MY RESIDENCE. THE SCHEDULED PICKUP TIME WAS 11:30 A.M. AND THEY ARRIVED PROMPTLY ON TIME. USING A CELL PHONE, THEY KEPT IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH ME UNTIL THE FURNITURE WAS DELIVERED. AFTER THE DELIVERY OF THE FURNITURE, THEY ALSO MOVED AN ENTERTAINMENT CENTER TO THE 2ND FLOOR OF THE RESIDENCE. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE PROFESSIONALISM EXHIBITED BY THE EMPLOYEES AND WILL USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY IS INVOLVED IN OTHER THINGS; THE MANAGER DOESN'T HAVE ANY AUTHORITY TO MAKE DECISIONS; THE OWNER IS NOT AROUND AND DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THE OPERATION OF THE MOVING COMPANY.

THE THURSDAY CREW WASLATE, THEY STOOD AROUND ALOT, AND DIDNT SEEM TO BE CONCERNED THAT WE WERE PAYING THEM HOURLY. I CALLED THE OWNER TO COMPLAIN, AND THE CREW HE SENT OUT ON FRIDAY WAS EARLY, VERY EFFICIENT AND DIDNT BREAK ANYTHING. THE FIRST DAY WAS DEPRESSING, AND THE SECOND DAY WAS IMPRESSING. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN.

THEY CHARGED BY THE PIECE INSTEAD OF BY THE HOUR. COST WAS $168, SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN OTHERS' BIDS. 3 WORKERS CAME OUT & DID A GOOD JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME & RETURNED CALLS.
