"Ms. [member name removed], You purchased the big deal through Angie's List. For any age home and foundation type for homes up to 3000 square feet. Our normal rate for the home we inspected for you would have been $525.00 which is a competitive rate in the home inspection industry. You purchased the home inspection for 400.00 through Angie's before the inspection was provided and had reschedule the inspection two or more times due to repairs that were being done to the property. Which cost us from scheduling other home inspections. We are sorry that you feel you did not get a fair price on the inspection. Sincerely, David Johnson"

However, there were several incorrect statements. He said I did not have any working smoke detectors. I tested the one in my living room and it worked, in addition, he said I did not have a carbon monoxide detector. I did have a carbon monoxide detector in the down stairs bedroom. It has an audio message that told me my batteries were low the night before and I had batteries on the kitchen counter when he was there.
It was morally wrong for him to tell me about other needed repairs without telling me my smoke detectors did not work. I would not leave a house thinking that.the house had no working smoke detectors. I also have fire department records of my carbon dioxide detector going off and it was an error.
Also, I called Duke power on serving my hot water tank through my appliance contract and the man said Duke does service the box for my area. problem that he said they did not deal with , but they did. They are ordering and placing the items near breakers.
