Advanced Mechanical is a solid company. They handle my HVAC maintenance, and recently fixed an issue with one of our units. The team is knowledgeable, and they spend extra time to answer questions and address concerns.

I'll start this review by saying I'm hard to impress, expecting people to do a good job. I'm also skeptical these days with companies I feel try to take advantage of the customer (cable tv for example). Advanced was recommended by a couple neighbors when we asked around. We got a couple quotes to replace our 16 year old units as we continued to have one expense after another. Simply, the experience of dealing with the Advanced Mechanical team was one of the best I've EVER experienced, with any service provider. They lived up to their commitments and went beyond. Their price was fair and they offered me options, not trying to push the most expensive if it wasn't necessary. Their sales person also services, so he knows what he is talking about. They said "all included" and they stood by that, doing some extra piping work to make the system the most efficient for me. They were prompt, courteous and even laid plastic wrap on my carpets to keep them clean. They left both sites (attic, basement) in much cleaner condition than when they arrived. They paperwork was handled seamlessly. Above and beyond? How about offering to put in hundreds of dollars of freon into my old system until they could get out to install the new ones....at no cost!
I will be switching all my HVAC needs to Advanced Mechanical in the future and would highly recommend them. Quality company with quality people.

Once again, these guys came out the same day I called. My heat was out on the coldest day of the year. Roland came out, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. They do great work at honest prices.

We have been dealing with Mike and crew for about 8 yrs. They have been very honest and upfront about the state for our 2 systems. About 3 years ago, Mike explained that our system had a leak and we can just add coolant, but the leak will eventually get worse. He told us that the best thing to do is replace them with a more efficient system. Well, this year, the leak was bad, and the cost of the coolant had gone up quite a bit. We decided to have him give us an estimate. Just to be thorough, I had another provider to also give us and estimate. Both proposals were for 2 Trane XR15 systems. Advanced Mechanical's estimate was much lower than the other estimate. The other provider even wanted to see Advanced Mechanical's estimate to make sure they were proposing the same system; they were (I removed the price before showing them the estimate).
-- A little bit of commentary from me before I continue with the review. First, it was only the downstairs unit that was leaking, my upstairs unit had a couple of more years on it according to Advanced. I suggested replacing both of them, Advanced just made it easy by breaking it up into two estimates.
--On with the review. After I accepted Mike's offer,he called and set up the date. His crew worked around our schedules! In fact, when his crew was done, I came home from work expecting to see a big mess in the house. Not the case at all! I could not tell that his crew even was there (except for the frigid air coming out of my vents.
While mowing my grass, I had my first opportunity to see the units that they installed. Much bigger than the ones that were there.It appeared very professionally installed. Then I noticed that they installed the Trane XR16 (the next model up). Mike said that he was able to get the upgraded system for the same price! Bonus! The two units were very quiet, cools very quickly, and reduces humidity.
With the new system, Advanced Mechanical also installed two new programable thermostats. These were the 7 day models that allow you to program each day separately. I was able to easily figure them out and their large lighted display made it easy for me to read.
Finally, Mike came by to explain the warranty and get information to fill out our rebate. Let me repeat this -- Advanced Mechanical actually filled out the rebate from Piedmont Natural Gas. I did not have to fill out anything! Wow! That is great customer service!!! So, now came the time when I was to pay. I told Mike what I thought I owed him. He told me I might be mistaken. I thought to myself, now here comes the part he tells me I owe a lot more than I planned! Mike then gave me the figures and showed me where I did my computation incorrectly. I actually owed him $650 less than the figure I told him!!!! Wow again! If he said nothing, he could have just pocketed the extra $650 dollars. I probably would not have known. But as I mentioned early in this review, this company is very honest. And again they proved their high level of honesty and customer service.
You can look back at the reviews I've put on Angie's List and other places and you will notice, I don't give glowing reviews to companies that just do their jobs. I only give glowing reviews to companies that have gone the extra length to deliver outstanding customer service.

I am 100% satisfied with the results and the way it was installed was one of the best parts. Mike assigned 3 experienced craftsmen to do the project. He estimated it would take about 2 days (accurate). What was special about this install experience was:
1. Mike came out and walked through the house with me initially and noted all the points where there was something special to be done. He developed a plan and then came out the first day to walk through it with his people.
2. Throughout the project, all the employees were very careful to contain all the dirt. They laid plastic wherever they were working and if they were in the house, they came in without shoes.
3. The one part of the job I was most concerned about was the cutting of our bamboo floor to add vents for the dehumidifier. Bamboo is hard to cut and requires a special saw. They came with a thin blade that did the work. While they were cutting the wood, one cut while another used a shop vac to suck up the dust while cutting. Plus there was cutting to install the new thermostats and rework the air returns. They carefully cleaned the work area once finished. (We have had several occasions to have sawing done in the house and this was the first time we did not have to clean the whole house of sawdust.)
4. After the porject, Mike came by to make sure everything was great.
5. Extra Service -- The systems we installed were eligible for rebates from Duke Power and Piedmont Natural Gas. Advanced Mechanical did the paperwork and submitted it for us. A very nice extra since often the paperwork is hard to complete. I have on my desk 2 checks totaling $425.

great...called for an appointment and received appointment for am...He arrived early fixed problem and was done within 1/2 hour...very pleasant and clean...explained somethings to me I didn't know...

Our air stopped working on Sunday night. Called Monday morning at 8:30 and they had someone out by noon. Drain was clogged and a "spare" part that should have been taken out when originally installed ( which Advanced Mechanical did not do) had came lose and fell into the fan causing it to stop. He removed all the other spart parts which shouldn't have been there, cleaned the drain, ensured that the motor was working properly and only charged us for the service charge and cleaning the drain!! This is the 2nd time that they have done work in our home and I will NEVER call anyone else!!!

It was a wonderful experience I was expecting this issue to cost hundreds of dollars. And to my surprise it was only $69.00. Justin was there a very long time going over the entire unit running it to make sure everything was perfect. He was very pleasant to work with did not make me fill inept when I asked question which were a lot. Professional, punctual everything you could ask for when you have heating problems and it is 34 decrees outside. I would call him in a second for any and all issues with heating and air problems. have Advanced Mechanical Air Corp programmed in my phone to stay. Again a wonderful company to work with. Will give out there name and number to all my friends and family that have this kind of issue.

The pipe from my air conditioner sprung a leak and overflowed water in my attic. I called this company and they sent someone out within an hour. Since this was late on a Friday afternoon I was very happy to get such quick service. They fixed the problem and the charges were reasonable. I would definitely call them again.

The technician came out quickly, identified the issue and made the repair without issue. He was very polite and professional. He took the time to test our second unit to give us an idea of the life left on our second capacitor. We are very satisfied

It went very well. They did an excellent job. They had excellent communication skills in understanding what we wanted. They gave all sorts of options and were informative. He really seemed to take his time and help us understand the needs for the system. He offered us a plan over time to have our other unit replaced.

Contacted Mike to get a proposal to replace my old heating and air conditioning system. Mike was prompt, thorough and professional. He thoroughly explained my equipment options so I could make an informed decision. His quote was fair and reasonable. His crew showed up on time, were professional, diligent and conscientious. Mike was very knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward with his proposal. He gave me his best price upfront and expertly described the features, energy efficiency standards, rebate qualifications, and fully answered all of my questions. I received multiple quotes and Advanced Mechanical provided by far the best value (highest efficiency for the lowest cost with a premium brand name). The install went flawlessly, and the team was professional and friendly.
