Summit Landcare

Great. John and his guys were at our house everyday working hard for a week. They also picked up and set up a fountain for us, picked out and delivered a huge boulder.

John and his crew were very good to work with, in the beginning! They were on time and worked quickly. We had an original bid, and added some additional items to that bid, as the job proceeded. When the job wrapped up, there was still one item that had not been done. They were to install additional slate stepping stones (which we had laready paid the labor for) but the slate had not come in yet. We were told that they would be back to install, as soon as the slate arrived. Shame on us for paying the labor on this...but things had gone so smoothly that we had no worries! We made numerous phone calls and emails, and kept getting the runaround! As of March 2011, we still have no slate stepping stones and we have not received any type of refund for the labor. To make matters worse, the majority of the trees and shrubs that Summit Landcare installed, have all died! The new trees and shrubs were under warranty for one year (which Summit Landcare still boldly advertises!!) and we have been trying to get them replaced, for 6 months now. The one time that John actually called me back, he promised to replace the trees/shrubs during the last week of Octoer, 2010. He never showed up and we've never heard from him again. We thought that he had gone out of business, but recently saw him advertising his business on Craigslist. John will not respond to any of our emails or phone calls. I would not recommend this company to anyone, due to lack of follow through on their part! We will be filing a LAWSUIT, trying to get reimbursed for labor paid and trees/shrubs that have died!

John completed about half of the work (he seemed great at first) and took about 75% of the pay and then stopped showing up and returning our phone calls. It has been over either weeks since we have heard from him and we call him and leave messages on a regular basis (at least about 5 times in the past eight weeks). We feel like we are out of money and out of options.

The entire experience was terrific. This company was the most reasonable out of several quotes that I had gotten. John, the owner of the company, was incredibly knowledagble and a nice person. He was eager to please. The crew was easy to work with. We were very happy with the results as well. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their services.
