We were referred to this contractor by another trusted contractor. (The ones we found in our area on Angie's List were not suitable. One failed to show up to provide an estimate and the other didn't want to accept information from my wife about the job and seemed pretty "wired" when he arrived.) Since my wife had drawn the plan and worked with the cabinet provider to order the cabinets, she was the lead in explaining what she wanted done in the area. Freddie Medlin explained any code requirements to us and said he would get back with his bid. He called later that day with the bid and after a short discussion, we accepted it. The job required 2 separate work sessions: one for the rough in of the wiring and one for the finish after the cabinets and walls were all in. On the first visit, a group of half dozen workers arrived, went to work and were finished by noon. They worked closely with us to determine where every outlet, light, fan and appliance were to be located. On the second trip, Freddie and one other electrician came and completed the job. They even moved one of the outlets that had been misplaced due to working with an outdated cabinet plan provided by the cabinet vendor. Included in the work were some under cabinet countertop lights that were not part of the original bid, but Freddie was more than accommodating in obtaining the lights and installing them. Freddie worked with me in obtaining the permit, and getting the inspections completed when due. The job was completed and passed all inspections. When they were finished both times, the site was cleared of all electrical waste materials. I graded the Responsiveness as "B" but only because Freddie does not always return calls on the same day. We would hire Freddie back in a "New York Minute" for any future sizable electrical job.
