Jim Spielman Roofing

I cannot begin to express how pleased we were with Jim and his crew when they came to put a new roof on for us. Jim Spielman Roofing is a privately owned small business that is a throw back to years gone by when tradesman honestly cared about the service he provided. We had used Jim's services 20 years earlier on a house and were pleased with his service at that time so we contacted him for an estimate again. Jim showed up the next day right on time, He discussed not only what he could do and how he would do it but what he could not do as well. He took his time and explained several options open to us and provided us with an estimate within 48 hrs . as well as shingle samples for us to look at. His estimate not only included the cost of doing the job but possible additional costs if certain conditions were found as well. Once we decided to accept Jim's estimate, he had the materials delivered promptly and said he'd be ready to go with the week. Unfortunately, the weather delayed the start for three or four days. But we received a call from Jim every evening explaining his go or no-go decisions and why. When the weather cleared, Jim and his crew arrived early and worked non-stop. Each man in Jim's crew had a job, knew his job and did it well. Through out the job, Jim never left the site and obsessed over ever detail. We have a fair amount of plantings and several dwarf Japanese Maple tress around the base of our house which we expressed concerns about since so much debris would be falling off the roof. Jim went the extra mile to care for not only the trees but all our other plants as well. Not one sustained any sever damage if any at all. Because of the location or position of our house it was very difficult to place materials very close to the house resulting once again is an extra effort on not only Jim's part but his crew as well. They finished the entire job in two days. Each day the debris at the site was cleaned up and removed. All the men were professional, polite and respectful at all times. They even attempted to haul off there lunch trash until we told them to use our trash cans. We could go on with this review but in short, if you have a roofing issue, you could do far worse than contacting Jim Spielman. We cannot say enough good things about the man's professionalism and integrity. The job he and his crew did for us was A++++ and at a very reasonable price.
