We would like to like to respond to this member's review, who has cut and pasted forms of this review all over the internet. On March 28, 2009, Goose Creek Auto Werks sold (name removed from response) a 1997 Mercedes E300D with 169,426 miles at the time of the sale. Transmission fluid and much more were checked before the auto was offered for sale. Ms (name removed from response) signed the “AS IS, NO WARRANTY” Buyers Guide at the time of the sale. In purchasing an auto at such high mileage, a Vehicle Product Warranty should have been considered at the time of the sale. Goose Creek Auto Werks offers warranties and there are also exceptional offers online. On November 16, 2009, Goose Creek Auto Werks worked up Estimate #0000023 to replace the transmission in the automobile in question. This was almost 8 months after the sale. The mileage on the car at the time of the estimate was 176,845, which put the miles driven since the time of sale at 7,419 miles. If there was a problem with the transmission at the time of the sale, transmission failure would have happened a lot sooner. We cannot accept responsibility for this transmission failure, considering the months and the mileage since the 3/28/2009 sale. Thank you. Scott & Chanteau Plowman, owners"
