BUYER BEWARE- Don’s Upholstery is THE WORST!!! I only needed a new headliner in my 2002 BMW530i and now my car is essentially ruined since the repairs are going to cost almost as much as the car is worth. To say the quality of his Don Geiger work is substandard would be an understatement. Almost every part he touched he broke. I know I likely sound like I'm exaggerating, believe me when I tell you that I WISH I this was an exaggeration. I have a baggie full of broken plastic clips, screws, fittings and tabs that he left scattered over the floorboard. I should not have hired him. The fact that he is working out of a storage facility and not an actual shop should have been my first red flag. Honestly, I thought he was being savvy keeping his overhead low. To summarize, the sunroof that was in perfect working condition no longer functions, the rear window sunscreen (previously worked perfectly) also now no longer functions, upholstery edges are cut short in places exposing raw edges, plastic tabs and clips that hold trim pieces broken, overhead light cover and headliner board in place were broken and the old headliner fabric was never removed. Would you believe he actually put the new material over the old headliner trying to cut corners. The result of this is that the headliner parts don't fit any longer, which is why we suspect all the clips were broken during reassembly trying to force it back together. He left permanent dimples in the headliner from his fingers and from the old headliner reflecting through. The adhesive he used emits a film/residue that consistently has to be cleaned off of the glass. Estimates to replace broken parts and have the headliner repair done correctly range from $3,000 to over $4,500. See attached pictures. Yes, these are the after photos, not the before. If the work as reflected in the attached pictures is the end result you are looking for go to Don Geiger. Otherwise I encourage you to find someone who knows what they are doing and who will provide you with the quality work and the experience you are expecting. I can provide you references of reputable options. P.S. People in this industry are well aware of Don Geiger and his shortcomings. Union County Sheriffs have served him multiple times and acknowledged that he does not make it easy on them. Apparently, he's well versed in avoiding them. More pictures on google review.
