Our insurance agent recommended CRS Roofing, which ultimately led to us accepting their bid, as price wise they were comparable to other service providers. In true fashion, an army of workers from CRS arrived early in the morning and proceeded to strip our roof as quickly as possible and immediately install the new roof. This all transpires in one day, as appears to be usual practice for such work. Subsequent to the work being completed we noticed various tar like markings on various sides of our house, the door of our garage, and our front door. In the apparent hast to strip and roof our house flying debris would bang up against various areas of the house. As days passed and we notice more and more markings around the house we communicated this to CRS, asking them to have someone come and clean these markings from our house. CRS complied doing an okay job. By okay, they removed some of the markings but others remained. Later we notice other items around our house, other items that were broken. One example was a hose reel. The work crew apparently ripped the house out of the reel instead of just simply unscrewing it. When we tried to reach back out to CRS they just stopped returning our calls. In summary, CRS affectively did what we hired them to do, put a new roof on our house. However, this came at the cost of replacing various items such as a $50 hose reel and still needing to clean our house. Lessons learned, if you are going to have a new roof put on, it is in your best interest to remove as many items away from your house as possible, items from your deck or back porch, etc. Even though a roofing company will tell you they will do this. When CRS did this for us our deck took a bit of a beating, scratches and such from them apparently dragging items and other various items falling on the deck as I would surmise.
