DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This is the most unprofessional and dishonest company we have ever done business with. We hired them April, 2017, to do landscaping at our residence. We were referred to them by Super Sod in Pineville. We thought since Super Sod was a very remarkable company that they would also recommend remarkable contractors. BIG ASSUMPTION, BIG MISTAKE!!! Brooks Nursery used unqualified and unsupervised workers that screwed up our yard. The quality of the work was shoddy. They stole products we had purchased at Super Sod right out of our garage. They did not show up day 3 to finish the job so we fired them. We offered to pay for the partial work that was completed, even though it was done poorly. They would not accept this but demanded payment in full of the entire amount of the contract, even though half of the services had not yet been performed. We offered 5 times to pay for the amount of work that was done, although poorly. They eventually put a lien on our home. The lien was filed for hundreds of dollars more than the contracted amount. So they attempted to charge us not only for work stated on the contract that hadn’t yet been performed, but also work that was never even on the contract, which is clearly against the law. Over the course of a year and a half, we received numerous emails that were threatening, vulgar, and unprofessional from Sandra Brook. Eventually the Mechanic’s Lien on our home was dismissed as they never took action in the court within the time frame that the law allows. Sandra Brook continued to harass us, threatening us in every direction possible, but never took any action at any time. We continued to maintain our professionalism toward them and offered yet again to pay for the partial, shoddy work they had completed. In December, 2018, 20 months later, they finally agreed to accept the original amount that we had offered so many times before to pay. Brooks Nursery heavily promotes themselves as “We’ve been in business since 1920”. For a company that has been in business that long, you would think they would know the correct tools to use for landscaping projects, have qualified employees, and excellence customer service. But from our personal experience, none of those factors exist with this company. Also, in the online reviews that we have recently read, each time a customer has shared a negative experience, Brooks Nursery has consistently attacked and blamed the customer. Sandra Brook even advised they would sue us for any negative feedback that we post about their company. Is this the type of company you want to do business with?

The worst company I've ever hired. I ignored some initial "red flags" because this company was recommended by Super Sod. Big mistake. Questionable business practices, questionable charges on final bill. But the icing on the cake was being threatened with a lien on my house if I did not pay in full and pay immediately the very day I received the bill. What a lousy way to treat customers. Would not recommend.

Very good communication. Got the project done in a few days. Quality work.
