Excellent - work was done on time for less than expected!

During the process of replacing my turbo I was told I would have to replace all gaskets because they had to tare all the way down to the exhaust manifold to get to the turbo. So I agreed to let them do so. After I got a call saying the turbo was completed they said we had an issue. I went to there shop reviewed an looked over the truck they said I had a cracked head or a blown head. They told me that was gonna be another $2500 an it immediately threw a red flag because my truck did not over heat or gauges didn't rise when the turbo blew. Glenn told me there wasn't any heat indication signs or anything else an it was just the turbo. I had my truck towed home an I am currently having the head out to have it pressure checked an trued. During having it pulled it was to my attention the my back studs on my cooler were already loose. My back 2 bolts on the exhaust manifold were missing towards the fire wall. I paid for new manifold gaskets. 2 of the port holes didn't have no gasket. Number 4 cylinder didn't have one an number 6 cylinder didn't have one. The others had the old ones which explains why my cooler was leaking from the back towards the firewall like they told me. So I paid for the service an I get a blown head gasket out of the deal. Definitely not a legit business. Thanks for your concern. I hope to protect the next person an there hard earned money that they do not get done the same way I did. Jason

It was my first visit to Allings, found them on Angie's list with good reviews, so decided to give them a try - due to the reviews and proximity to my home. Because of past experiences with other mechanics not going well and walking out with that uneasy feeling I was skeptical and on guard. Well I must say I was presently pleased from the moment I walked in the door. I had called for an appointment the day before and they were able to fit me in the next day. Kelly and Glenn were very friendly and responsive to all my questions. Glenn the owner did all the work on my car. Pricing was very fair and the brake work went well. Will definately use them for all my car repair needs. A very pleasant experiance. Felt they were trustworthy and left feeling good! Highly recommended!

Absolutely perfect! The owner is the operator... he's a master ASE technician and has been in business a long time. He owned an auto service shop in the northeast before moving to Charlotte. He knows everything about cars and easily diagnoses any issues and the most cost effective ways to fix and issues. I've taken my cars here a couple of times and they do a great job! Easily to communicate with; clean; perfect service all around! I'd highly recommend them... even over any dealerships! They do a better job and cost less! And you deal with the master (the shop owner) himself!

We have used Alling's auto a number of times for repairs to both our company trucks and personal vehicles. The prices are always fair and Glen does thorough job. He is responsive and tries to fit us in quickly when we call. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but it is certainly worth it to go to a mechanic you trust! We have had four different vehicles serviced by Alling's Auto and they have all been repaired to our complete satisfaction. This isn't a large operation, but their garage is professional and clean. We like the fact that we always get to talk to Glen, who is the one who actually works on our car. They are good people and do great work!
