All-South Asphalt Paving

Look great to start, within a matter of weeks, started breaking and grass coming thru which we were assured would not happen. That this work should last a minimum of 10-12 years. Numerous phone calls with repeated promises to come back out and take care of. Never showed.

This past February my husband and I hired All-South Paving or All South Asphalt and Paving, in Monroe, NC to completely newly grade our very long gravel driveway and to use their chip and seal process to finish it off. It was a very expensive process, appx $6500.00. Afterward it was beautiful. However within a couple of months grass was growing all through the driveway, which we were assured would not happen. After many, many phone calls we were finally able to get someone to come out and look at it. They sprayed the drive and said that if that did not work, that it would have to be redone. That was in April.

By May, the driveway was in pretty bad shape already and I began my daily ritual of calling the owner. The first 3 to 4 weeks, there was no answer but he did sometimes return my call. He promised every time we spoke for a month that someone would be out the next day. Never happened and he has not taken or returned a phone call in over a month now.

The owner, Greg Sherlock seems like a very nice person. I have remained extremely nice and professional, however I am now very upset.

To top all of this off, I found that Mr Sherlock has a Facebook page. It looks like his business page but it is set up like a personal page. ON his page, I found pictures of our house and them working on our driveway. 3 pictures with a note on FB stating "another satisfied customer". They never asked about putting pictures of our house online nor did they ever ask if we were satisfied. That statement was complete fabrication.

They showed up at our door about 3:30 pm. They quoted us a price For asphalt and we agreed. They said they were in the neighborhood already working with all their equipment and they could start immediately. We agreed. First they ask if they could move our camper and utility trailer to start grading the drive .We agreed. They backed our utility trailer into a stack stone flower bed and broke the light and bent the tag. They agreed to make good on the repairs. About halfway through the grading process we were shown a brochure about the product chip and seal. Mr. Greg Sherlock assured us it was the better product and it would last longer and get better over time. Meaning the more we drove on it the better. Also it was guaranteed for 3 years but would last much longer. They worked until 10:30 pm. With no lighting so no one could see the finished product. Both my husband and I drive a truck and travel Tuesday-Saturday every week. Our driveway started to sink in many areas in less than a week and have gotten much worse. We have spoke with Mr. Sherlock about our concerns on several occasions and sent pictures . He assured us it would be fixed but he's failed to do so.. Respectfully, Mrs. Scott
