My wife handles all that stuff. It sent great and was a five minute visit; it was really quick. The dog was brought into the examination room and as we were talking Dr. Brown gave her the shot and we walked out the door. We were taken right in; it is a wonderful facility. It is a billion dollar building. It is very nice in there.

From the time of initial contact with this business, everything was handled in a professional and efficient manner. The office staff took all of our information over the phone, so I had no paperwork to complete at all. When we checked in, we went right into and exam room and Dr. Brown was with us right away. Dr. Sarah Brown is a personable and professional veterinarian and really cares about animals. She has a lot of experience and will not try to talk you into additional unnecessary services for your pet. We have also taken our dog to her for his annual exam.

When we relocated to WNC from major metro area, we actually tried four different vet services and were not happy or content with their level of expertise or services. Most of those were routine vaccinations and examinations but had a few emergency visits as well. I started to think we were just spoiled with our former area's level of professionalism, even in cases of emergencies. I will admit I had gotten off track with my routine examinations in last few years...sometimes it was financial, other times it was being able to find a vet clinic able to handle my breed of dog, usually those on the phone had a differing certainty of being able to treat our beloved pets than was demonstrated by vet techs and sometimes vets.
See, my two dogs are spoiled rotten and quot;kids, and quot; tenacious with a wonderful spirit, and a breed that NC actually qualifies as a dangerous dog breed. They are not people dogs, but we are their people and so we have a wonderful relationship but strangers are another story.
This visit this past Friday was truly wonderful 1) staff recognized our love and affection for our dogs, but also how we wanted to keep them under control in an unfamiliar surrounding, that we knew them to be unpredictable. They made adjustments for our own comfort level, and never ever shared any misgivings or fear...just recognizing, professionally, that a different procedure than Aunt Mabel's lap dog was in order. 2) One pup of ours has many health issues, the other none--they asked the right questions. They recognized and realized we live in rural area, what our concerns were. 3) Dr. Brown--she knows her stuff. When examining our dog with problems, she was reaffirming what we knew--that others in the area wanted MRIs, CAT scans for--had actually refused to diagnose without. It was simple straightforward, pros and cons discussion. You can tell she really does care about quality of life, but also appreciated how she prioritized the concerns. Not all things can be fixed with money either, and not all of us have ability to leverage all though we wished we could. I am certain she does not agree with all our decisions (because she does have alot of empathy for our animals) but did take time to discuss if-when scenarios...and that was truly refreshing given our experiences since relocating to area.
For our pup, with the health problems, we will be moving forward with a quoted procedure. Price is actually less than I would think or expect or have paid for in the past. But the quote was extremely detailed and I feel extremely comfortable with moving forward.
Lets just say...they can work with my family circumstances, my wonderful but often misunderstood chosen breed of dog, and do so in a straightforward manner.

Dr Brown is very thorough in her work. She was very helpful in making suggestions about how to make a newly adopted dog adapt to a new home with 2 other dogs and 1 cat.

I took my puppy to Dr Sarah Brown at Health Care for Pets because she participated in a low cost neutering program. I was so impressed with her and her staff I am changing veterinarians. Her price were very fair. She seemed very compassionate with my puppy. Gave straight up answers to my questions and was understanding about my financial situation. I think Mills River is very fortunate to have Dr Brown
