R & L Royal Services, LLC

The work was done over a two-day period. Pressure washing was done the first day, and the result was that about 30-40% of the paint was removed from the siding, along with the dirt and mildew that I actually wanted removed. To add insult to injury, there were paint chips on the ground all around my house which, although I was told they would be cleaned up, were never removed. When questioned the following day about the terrible job that had been done, I was told that they could give me a separate quote for painting the house. In the end, as I was selling the house - which R & L Royal Services LLC were aware of - I chose to hire a different company to paint the exterior as I didn't want R & L Royal Services anywhere near my property. Regarding the interior work, I had to re-do the two bedrooms as some areas of the walls (i.e., corners, over doors, etc.) had not been painted, there were a few paint drips that were about 12-13 inches across, and the crown molding had not been painted with semi-gloss, as contracted. After the first day, the kitchen sink looked like one on a work site as the painters had rinsed their brushes in it and done nothing to clean up after themselves, and the bathroom (where the window trim had been replaced) looked like a tornado had come through it...the person who had done the work clearly put nothing under the window to collect the debris as there was dirt and pieces of wood on the narrow table under the window and on the floor, the sink was a mess, and something had been rinsed out in the shower as that was also a mess. I complained to R & L Royal Services LLC about these things and was told they would be addressed, but little was actually done. My overall impression of this company is that they are interested in getting the work done as quickly and cheaply as possible, getting their money, then moving on to the next job. The work done by R & L Royal Services LLC was shoddy, sub-standard, and could never be considered professional. In addition, I had to spend almost $2,000 to fix the many mistakes they made. I will NEVER hire them again, and am disappointed that I found them on Angie's List as I believe the quality of professionals and workers on Angie's List is quite good overall.
