CRAWFORD CONSTRUCTION CO

Crawford Construction responded immediately to the insurance company's call and placed a tarp on the roof and removed some of the tree that Sunday morning.  I was very pleased.  Two weeks later they repaired the roof (not shingled) and replaced the tarp incorrectly.  As a result water POURED into my bedroom and the entire bedroom ceiling collapsed into my room.  Now all of the insulation was wet.  They responded to this disaster quickly but it happened only because of incompetence.   Because of this error the insurance man had to return to do another estimate, the carpeting and padding had to be replaced, a fan had to be replaced and my electrical bill doubled for the month because I was then air conditioning the entire attic.  Also the security people had to come twice.  Once to place the security system in place and once to finish it when the ceiling was complete.
When the framing person finished his work I had an expert engineer inspect his work.  There were at least 10 places that the framer had not completed correctly .  Two involved support beams that were misaligned and not supporting the weight correctly.  The engineer  took pictures of this and Crawford said they would repair them again.  Crawford repaired them again, the engineer returned and the repairs were not done correctly again.  Crawford always said they would repair the work according to the the engineer's specifications.  The engineer came again and drew pictures on the beams exactly where the remaining work should be done.  I have been assured that the work has been completed correctly and I am accepting that because one of Crawford's project managers did the work and I had confidence in him.

Started with commitedc time for repair that they could not meet. Very sloppy workmanship. Then return 's to attemt to finish. They
didn't care Insurance was going to pay them any way!
