Standard Carpet Service LLC

Worst experience you can imagine with getting a new carpet! We asked for a nice carpet but didn't want to "break the bank" with the cost. We were getting ready to put our house on the market and needed something neutral, nice, and attractive, but didn't want the most expensive option. We chose something that we were told was lower-upper end or upper mid-range. We ended up with builders grade carpet! Within less than a year, it looked like matted dog fur! Even the vacuum couldn't perk it up. The only negative comments we received when people viewed our home was that the upstairs carpet was a problem. I called and explained that there must have been some sort of miscommunication and that we needed to come to some sort of a compromise. Buddy Prevatte wouldn't budge. He claimed that it was a good quality carpet - definitely not true, and that our Realtor was the one who ordered it for us - also definitely not true because he came to our house to show us some samples and to measure and we discussed our options with him. Since Buddy was unwilling to meet us anywhere in the middle, we have now spent thousands of dollars to have the carpet replaced AGAIN by another company! We described what we wanted to a few other companies to get quotes, and ALL of them realized that our existing carpet was a lower range carpet and ALL of them offered nicer options. (We ended up going with R.E.O. Flooring Solutions and they were great!) Our carpet looks and feels so much better now. It is unfortunate that we had to have this experience and couldn't find a solution with Standard Carpet Service. FYI, they have split and now operate as two different companies with the other as Standard Carpet & Flooring LLC. Neither one was willing to work with us or admit that there was any miscommunication on their end or ours! I can't even give them one star.
