King's Greenhouse

My first purchase was 7 plants, fertilizer and mulch to make them strong, healthy and beautiful. I went back two months later to augment those plantings with incremental landscaping. I was proud of how everything was turning out. In fact I convinced my mother-in-law to give Kings a try. I told her every time I made a purchase I also received coupons for my next purchase.  Or so I thought. When I tried to use the 2 $20.00 coupons they gave me on the second purchase, I was told that the coupons were only good for a select period in June. Well I already made my selection so I figured I'd just come back in June and buy something else. I got another $40 dollars in coupons. When I came back in June, I was informed that I had to spend double of the coupon value to use them. I guess I misunderstood because the coupons were labeled $20 Bucks. They are not a loyalty tool, just an incentive to buy more on a return trip. I gave mine to a woman who was shopping so maybe she could at least get something out of it.

My Mother-in-Law complained to me about a rose bush she had purchased and said that they cleaned up the bush while she was there. But still the plant had no life. she pointed out that the bush I bought was in similar distress. What do I know? I'm just a consumer. Well the guarantee that Kings offered was not a guarantee at all. If your not satisfied, and the plant is not living up to potential, they will give you 50% off on another bush. That's not a guarantee! You've got to spend more money on something that wasn't right in the first place. And they told her that the condition was because of neglect. She owned a very successful  florist shop before moving down here, so I don't think she can be accused of being a novice. Needless to say, they don't stand behind their merchandise either. By the way, my plant is also on it's last legs and is embarrasing.

Bottom line, they will sell you anything. Just don't expect to be satisfied. No customer service! 

I went into Kings with no idea of what I needed. I spoke to a very friendly man who took the time to walk me around and show me plants that would work for my needs. Something for the front planting area that would not grow out of control and cover the low window, hardy plants for the sides of the garage, awesome smelling gardenias for the back porch, and flowers, just for fun.  He was so sweet and knowledgable. he helped me push the cart to check out and to my car. I had my youngest son interrupting and running around, and he was very nice and patient with us. Thank you! I'll definitely be coming back in the spring!

So far everything is still alive.

VERY SIMPLE LANDSCAPING INSTALLATION. A PROJECT THAT WE COULD HAVE HANDLED OURSELVES, BUT WITH A NEW BABY, JUST DIDN'T HAVE THE TIME. KING'S GREENHOUSE IS SHADY AND UNPLEASANT. THEY WILL UNDERQUOTE YOU AND THEN OVERBILL YOU, KNOWING THERE IS NOT MUCH YOU CAN DO SINCE THE WORK HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE. WHILE WORKING ON OUR YARD, THEY CUT THE PHONE LINE, WHICH TOOK MANY CALLS AND LOTS OF PERSUASION TO GET THEM TO FIX. HUGE HASSLE. WHEN THE BILL ARRIVED, IT WAS $500 MORE THAN THE QUOTE. UPON INQUIRING, THE OWNER EXPLAINED SHE HAD FORGOTTEN TO INCLUDE PRICE OF MULCH. $500 FOR MULCH? WE HAVE A VERY SMALL YARD. NEVERTHELESS, WE RELENTED AND PAID THE HIGHER PRICE. ALTHOUGH OUR GRASS IS THICK AND HEALTHY, 2 WEEKS AFTER INSTALLATION, A 5 INCH WIDE LINE OF DEAD GRASS APPEARED AROUND THE NEW MULCH BED. UPON INQUIRING ABOUT CHEMICALS THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE DEAD GRASS,WE RECEIVED DISGRUNTLED ATTITUDE FROM OWNER. SINCE WE HAD CONCEDED THE EXTRA $500 ON THE BILL (WHICH WAS NEVER ITEMIZED-SUSPICIOUS!)

RESONABLE PRICES AND EXCELLENT PLANTS.
