Chuck and Creative Remodeling are sincerely the worst of the worst in crafstmanship, customer service, and standing behind their work. They performed work at our home in 2008 and in 2012 when we considered listing our home for sale, we found that NO permits whatsover were pulled for any of the trades performing work at our home (mechanical, framing, electrical, plumbing). Chuck enclosed a porch for us and also converted an upstairs storage area into a fourth bedrom with full bath. We found we are not allowed to sell our home until all work is completed with permits and done to code. We literally had to start over by demolishing all the work Chuck did and begin from scratch. In addition to the $15,000 we paid Chuck to do the work the first time, we are spending an additional $14,00 just to fix Chuck's inadequacies and bring our house fully up to code - basically paying twice. Just a few "highlights" of Chuck's crafstmanship that have to be replaced:1) He cut and removed sections of two roof trusses to make doors fit in the new bedroom2) Bathroom fan not connected at power source3) Bathroom fan exhaust vented out into middle of garage attic, not to roof soffit with proper vent4) 3" pipe used for bathroom fixtures when 4" is required by law5) Shower valve not connected to studs behind shower6) Improper wiring and circuitry causing fire hazards in my son's new bedroom and bath7) Only three electrical outlets installed in finished porch when there needed to be eight total8) No air return in finished porch9) No tempered lower windows in finished porch10) New bedroom/bathroom ceiling had to be lowered 5" to put in proper insulation and baffles for air flow - Chuck installed baffles upside down (and too few) and also put in only R13 insulation when R30 is required by law.11) Wires in several locatons were not stapled to studs12) Pipes and water supplies not attached to studs13) Light canisters in new bathroom had wire exposedOnce again, these are just a few of the items we completely re-did in our home to bring it up to code and become a safe living environment for our family. Every contractor, building inspector, etc who has been involved in the current re-do renovation is completely shocked and in disbelief that this work was performed at such a poor level. In addition, they can't believe Chuck is still in business. Chuck and Creative Remodeling have done work for dozens of homeowners in our neighborhood and I can assure you they, and the rest of the neighborhood community, have been alerted to Chuck's practices.
