Well, I used them for several years, although I thought I wasn't getting what I should at the price I was paying. So, now that I am retiring, I asked for some concessions on the price. I was told they haven't increased my cost since 2009. So, then I asked that perhaps they could take 5 more minutes each visit to pull a weed or a sapling standing 2 feet tall in an island or up against the house. Well, I was very rudely told, that "apparently you're not satisfied with our services and we're canceling the contract immediately". Well, that left me with high grass and no one to mow. Very, very unprofessional, especially for someone who was a client maybe 10 years or more.
The owner, Eddie Zalaquett, is a nice guy and the guy who came out to mow was nice. But I cannot understand how they could only spend 10 minutes and my neighbors yard maintenance people stay 20 - 30 minutes, with 2 people doing the work.
The "F" for professionalism goes to Wendy Zalaquett, who thinks she knows how to run a business. I am a business woman and she definitely is not!
Well, I guess things happen for the best. I have been prompted to find a cheaper and better lawn service.
Together with Eddie my wife and I picked the plants and design we wanted. Eddie had many good ideas.
We ran into problems during the project that were drainage issues that neither he nor I expected. He helped us solve the drainage issues.
He is meticulously clean and organized. When he needs extra people his help is professional but Eddie does most of the work himself.
Overall very satisfied. I dont think he is the cheapest but he does excellent work himself and does not leave it to other lower cost workers.
