The job went great. The crew took 4 days for this large roof that also covered carport and they were careful, precise, and did excellent quality work, replacing a number of damaged roofing boards. They spread tarps into which to drop old roofing materials and even took care to insure plantings were not damaged, filling two dumpsters with removed roofing materials. They did roof sections at a time to insure the roof was protected from weather. Their cleanup work was superb. The modern shingles they used give the roof a superb look. It's GORGEOUS and we've gotten a number of compliments from the neighbors!

1) Carolinas Building and Remodeling did an excellent job on the garage roof. The work looks great. It's been several years and there was no sign of leakage during a rainstorm. 2) The ridge vents work great and has dropped the temperatures in our attic significantly. We are happy we had Carolinas install them. 3) The two Solar Tubes work magnificently, bring light down tubes through our attic and into a dark hall and kitchen It's like having a skylight but without the heating and cooling losses. Mr. Cribbs worked with us because we knew we could need extensions with our fairly high attic. He installed the light domes in the roof and did a great job on the roofing around the domes. He then installed the diffusers in the living area ceilings. With these in place, we could measure the extension we needed. When these arrived, he installed those. I've checked in the attic during rainstorms and there is no sign of leakage. He did a great job.

Cindy and Randall are a great building and design team. They have excellent ideas on what will improve the value of their home. They are courteous and they know the latest trends of what is new and now! I would highly recommend them and enjoy the job they are doing! They also pay close attention to detail and watch over everything.

Very impressed with his work after inspecting garage he built in neighborhood. He used stick construction in roof structure rather than prefab trusses & quality of work was extraordinary. This is a firm for folks who are not looking for cheap, but for real craftsmenship at a fair price. Randall Cribbs teams with his wife, Cynthia, who is a whiz at design issues but also knows the construction business thoroughly, & in his construction with Marty Thompson, another craftsman of the 1st order. Work quality & care was super. Footing on one side was extra deep as it was close to ''drop-off'' retaining wall. Carpentry was A+ & a challenge because of hip roof. Code requires bracing every 3rd set of rafters, but he did every set, plus ''rat run'' to reinforce roof. (Plus hurricane clips) Job incl termite treatment. Siding & electrical work was EXCELLENT! Only downside was mason./concr subcont. Who was very good but bit off far too many jobs & was far too slow. Cribbs no longer uses him.

Cribbs and Thompson did an excellent job with all the doors, which work perfectly. They used all the existing locks, etc. They could not complete the job immediately since the door switch for the security system had to be replaced on one door. So they left the trim off on this one door to make it easy for the tech from CPI to access what he had to. They returned immediately after the new switch was in place to install the door trim.
