Blue Devil In-Ground Liner Replacements

I did much research for the replacement of my inground pool liner. Hiring Ted Leonard of Blue Devil Pools was the best decision I made. His work was perfect, he took extra care to assure a perfect fit and his price was reasonable. Ted followed up Tom make sure there were no leaks after the work was done. The pool looks beautiful and we are ready to enjoy the summer.

Ted did what he said he would do and was on schedule. I appreciate contractors who stay true to their word. Pool liner is beautiful.

As with most things, it is never just a simple liner replacement. Our 10 year old vinyl liner needed replacing, but there was also a leak around the light that needed to be fixed. Something we didn't find out until the new liner was in. Ted was a phenomenal resource in helping us diagnose the issue. My husband is quite handy and we wanted to keep our costs down, so Ted provided us with all the information we needed to be successful. He spent an amazing amount of time measuring for the liner and therefore the installation didn't take long. Ted was a wonderful person to work with and he really knows his stuff.

This is the second liner we have installed in the last 10 years.  I would not use anyone else.  Ted is the most professional, knowledgeable and honest small business owner I have ever met.  He does what he says he will, when he says he will and doesn't make any promises he can't keep.  He knows he product inside and out and the results show.

We have lived in our home for 6 years and for the past several years we have known that we needed to replace the liner in our pool.  Not knowing what was involved and in fear of what else would be found when the liner was removed, we were hesitant.  But this summer, we knew we had to get the job done.  When we first spoke with Ted, we knew he was the one we were going to have come do the job.  He was courteous, honest, and affordable.  Ted came and took measurements and left a CD and a brochure for us to view that discussed different liners and options that we had.  After speaking with Ted, he guided us to a liner that was of high quality and competitively priced.  He ordered our liner & once it arrived he began the install. After removing our old liner he fixed several areas in the pool wall that needed patching. He also worked on the floor of the pool to smooth and reinforce the bottom.  He placed the new liner and began filling the pool.  I can't say enough about how professional, knowledgeable & detailed oriented Ted was about replacing our old liner.  He not only cleaned our pool steps to almost brand new condition, he also replaced the drain covers. He answered all our questions (which we had quite a few of) and was always polite and patient.   He gave us a lot of advice on how to prolong the life of our new liner.  We highly recommend Ted to anyone who needs a pool liner replacement.  

Ted was very thorough in his initial measurements. Throughout the whole process he clearly communicated what he was doing and what options I had available. He had great attention to detail and even provided helpful advice on getting the pool started.

I had contacted Ted earlier in the year (see previous review) when our liner had floated off the coping. He responded quickly to assess the situation and provided a temporary fix until the weather got warmer so we could replace our liner. When I contacted him again about replacing the liner he provided several samples to chose from. Ted ordered our liner and once it arrived he began the install. After removing our old liner he fixed several areas in the pool wall that needed patching. Upon completion he put the new liner in and filled the pool. I can't say enough about how professional and quick Ted was at replacing our old liner. He got the job done in under two days!! He even cleaned our pool steps and spa to almost brand new condition. Update: After Ted installed our pool liner we had an issue with our irrigation system. A broken pipe allowed for the water to seep under our liner and float the liner. After the water was absorbed into the ground we had a couple of wrinkles. Ted came by and smoothed out the wrinkles free of charge.

Ted was on time, thorough and very meticulous in repairing our pool. He treated it as if it was his own. He communicated very well throughout the entire project and came in on budget. Can't recommend him high enough for pool liner replacements.

First his quote was right in line with other pool companies. I chose him because all he does is replace pool liners. He was on time each and every appointment. After we ordered the liner we wanted he told us it would be a week and a half to get the liner in. He was right on. He told us that he needed a day that was going to be at least 65 degrees. He discussed how and where we needed to drain the pool from our 29,000 in ground pool. We were number 4 or 5 on the list, so I was surprised that he showed up on the next day the temp was going to be over 65. For one reason or another from the other people on the list we had gotten moved to the head of the line
The process started with the draining of the pool that took an afternoon, that took the better part of a Friday afternoon. Monday he was there to take out the old liner. He pulled off all the old fixtures and set them aside to be thrown away. Then he methodically cut up into big pieces and then folded them up into a neat package and placed them on his truck to be thrown away. His next step was a thorough cleaning of all the surfaces of the inside of the pool. After which he did a meticulous job doing the prep work prior to installing the liner. I was impressed at the prep work. He had to go and put adhesive on all the pool construction gaps. Then he went back and put duct tape over those cracks. I learned that it was not only to smooth out the surface for the liner but also to help be a seal for when he had to use a vacuum to pull the liner tight to the surface of the pool.
The liner went on next and then all the new fixtures and we were ready to fill up the pool
Through out the whole process he was personable and patient with my wife and I. He answered all of our questions completely.. He gave me instructions on what to do both during the process and after that were clear and concise.
The bottom line is always would I recommend him to someone else. The answer is a resounding yes!!!!!

I couldn't be happier with how Ted addressed my issue. He was professional, courteous and answered all my questions in great detail. As he was wrapping things up I asked "How much for the service call"? He replied, "Nothing". I was incredulous. He said he was happy to help and to consider him when we one day replace our liner. Ted installed a new liner in our pool approximately 6 years ago. The liner fit perfectly and has worn extremely well. Over the last two years, I have had some problems with drainage around my pool which caused the liner to float away from the walls during periods of heavy rain in the winter months. Most recenlty two days before Christmas. I called Ted who spent over an hour with me on the phone explaining what caused the problem and how we could fix it. He also came to my house on Christmas Eve to pump the excess water out. He recommended that we not pump the water out because he thought the liner would go back naturally. Even after spending another hour at my house, he did not charge me anything for his services. He was correct, the liner did return to normal and once I correct the drainage issue, we should be good to go.
Ted is extremely professional and is a treasure trove of information regarding pool liners. He stands behind his work and goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new pool liner. I will use only Blue Devil in the future!
