We were very happy with the initial experience (both price and quality).  However, after several years we started having trouble with our double gate, and needed to replace the latch.  We called Suburban MANY times, and they never got back to us.  I was ready to pay for the part and labor.  When it became obvious that they had no interest in the job, we asked if they could at least point us to a retailer where we could buy a replacement latch.  And they still would not respond.  The initial cost of our fence was between $5,000-6,000, and we recommended them to several friends and neighbors.  I am thoroughly disappointed with their service after the initial sale.

I reached out to this co. a few ~3/4 yrs ago to install a split rail fence.  their price was great, they were a little hard to get a hold of but I didnt mind at the time.  this Summer, my fence started breaking at the soil line.  I asked them if they would come take a look and they indicated that they would for a charge.
Subsequently I had another company come out to fix the fence, he pointed out a number of problems with the installation.  he also indicated that in over 20 yrs of doing fences, he had never seen posts fail the way that these were in 3-4 yrs.  he indicated that it would usally take 7-10 yrs before that happens.
I guess you get what you pay for.  stay away from this company.

Well recently I noticed one of the gates will not close properly.  I proceed to contact Surburban Fence and received no reply.  I contacted them two more times and left a message on the website.  Still no response.  Yesterday, I called early in the a.m and a lady answered.  I asked if this was Surburan Fence and she said yes.  I asked for her name and she asked who I was.  I told her and proceeded to explain why I was calling.  I asked for her name again.  She hesitated and then said Linda...hum....  She went on to say someone would call me back in the p.m. because the crew is already gone out into the field.  Found it strange no one was available to schedule work.  Of course, no one called me back.  I called again today and no return call.  I proceeded to get on Angie's List to look them up and see they have a running history of this lately.  I noted one post said Angie's List was able to get them to return the customer's call.  I hope Angie's List can help me.  If not, I guess next step is the Better Business Bureau.  If nothing else, I want to insure others do not fall for their sales ptich, only to be stuck when a repair is needed.

The first time they installed post & rail fencing around our yard. The yard had a big hill and they installed the fence perfectly and quickly. It looked great and our dogs were thrilled.  We were very happy with their work! 
In our new home,we needed to add more fenced in area to the yard that had existing aluminum fencing.  They were able to reuse some gates and panels in the alterations and made excellent suggestions about placement and installation. We again were very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them!

After they were contacted by Angies list they showed up and replaced the warped post.

I started my search for a fence contractor through Angie's List. I had about twelve companies from which I intended to gather estimates. While Suburban fence was not great about their initial responsiveness... only four of the other eleven contractors even got back in touch with me, only three of those showed up (two running over an hour late) and only two ever got back to me with a quote. A couple place did send me an email and one even gave me a phone call, but this was a good three weeks after I had contacted them. I made an appointment with Suburban Fence, the woman I spoke with called apologetically the day of the appointment to let me know she was running over an hour late, I didn't have time to wait and it would have been difficult for me to reschedule but then we discussed her just doing the measurements with my description of what I needed and giving me an approximate cost. We agreed that I would leave all the info in the mailbox, she would pick it up and get back to me. She never came by to pick anything up and I figured I was done with the company. Over the next week or so I still hadn't picked a company and was beginning to lose interest in the project all together when I happened to be walking though a neighborhood where just about all the houses had fences around them and just about all of those fences had Suburban Fence's signage. I decided to give them another try, left a voice mail explaining that they had let me down once already but I wanted to give them another try because their work was serving as a great advertisement. I received a call back from Ginger very promptly and she was at my house to give me a quote within a few days. From that point on communication was excellent, she picked up just about every time I called. The quote was much lower than any of the others and she was very helpful at describing the options. I signed the contract on Thursday or Friday of that week and the crew started the following Tuesday and finished on Wednesday. I didn't have to pay until the work was complete. The fence looks excellent.

It took about couple of days to set up the appointment, one of the sisters came out and did the measuring and estimated that it would take about a week to get the estimate back into my hands. I had some questions regarding various options, but did not expect the estimate to take a long time to get. Four weeks later after repeated calls on my behalf things finally started moving and a gentleman came out and built the brick columns, and did a fantastic job. At this point I only knew the price of the brick columns after speaking to the gentleman, as he was independent from Suburban Fence. Couple of days later my estimate came for the fence and the following week the installers came out and set up our fence, and did a great job!!! The fence looks and feels awesome!!!

Installation was good. Craftsmanship on gates where locking hardware attached was so-so. I had to get them to come rebuild a gate so I could install my own hardware. The hardware I bought would not fit, so I asked them to come replace 1 post and reinstall their own hardware. I think they are ignoring me.

The response prior to the work was absolutely horrific. We did not get phone calls returned or pictures sent in a timely manner. However, when the job was finally detailed and the work had to be done, it was done well. They expected no money up front for the job. We had used this company for a previous job. We knew their work was excellent and had not had problems with follow up so we were tenacious. Not sure we would go through that again though.

Excellent. Farrah Hargett and her sister are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She was willing to match a lower estimate. Fence is gorgeous, very well-constructed, even is holding up now that a very big tree has fallen into it.

THIS COMPANY WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH, AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED. THEY OFFERED US A DISCOUNT WHEN OUR NEIGHBORS DECIDED TO GET A FENCE FROM THEM AS WELL - BECAUSE THEY COULD SAVE ON MAN HOURS AND SUPPLIES. THEY WERE A BIT LACKING IN THE COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT.... SOMETIMES WE HAD A HARD TIME GETTING A HOLD OF SOMEONE, OR KNOWING WHEN THEY WOULD BE BACK TO FINISH THEIR WORK (WHEN IT RAINED, ETC), BUT OVERALL, THE EXPERIENCE WAS A GOOD ONE AND I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. THEY DO BEAUTIFUL WORK.
