I chose "Need a Hand" because it was close to where I live in rural NC. Because of being out of town for a while, a date for Ron to come to my house was made in advance. He followed through with a date and showed up exactly on time as promised. I had a number of small jobs that needed to be done (which most handymen are not interested in) and Ron did each with skill and professionalism. He is coming back to do some larger jobs. I would highly recomend "Need a Hand".

Two trips to the house: one to measure and discuss plan, the other to finish installation of custom-made corner cabinet. I have never seen such attention to detail for such a very reasonable price! Ron is meticulous and makes sure you're happy with his service.

Ron was prompt and accessible in coming out for initial estimate and discussion regarding what our plans were in terms of "freshening up" our home. Becuase of odd sizings a few of the projects needed a "creative twist" which Ron was able to provide. Because of the labor intensive portions of the project he brought another guy to help. Both were very courteous and worked when my wife was home with the kids a few days and by themselves when we were both at work. While progess seemed slow, I ended up adding a few things to the project as we went along that I saw that wanted to be done and they had no problem with that. They both have school age children that they drop off and pick up from school so they tend to start a little later (9-9:30) and end early (about 2- 2:30). We ran into a little problem after the cabinets were repainted and rehung when the paint started immediately peeling either due to excessive humidity or lack of primer, but they redid the work for us without complaint. The project took about 3 weeks and during this time there was hardly a mess. When I came home from work I would find the house pretty much cleaned up, no tools left around, supplies piled up, no dust from sanding etc. They pretty much cleaned everything and vacuumed. Good communication throughout the project. Very happy with appearance of rooms.

From the time Ron first came over to look at our project he was professional and helpful. We liked him right from the start because he came when he said he would and was on time. Ron was very attentive to our needs and desires and really listened to what we wanted. He answered all of our questions and gave us helpful advice when we asked for his opinion. We had a bit of a tricky corner tub and weren't sure exactly how to go about putting tile around it. Thanks to Ron's expertise, it looks even better than we imagined! Every time Ron came to work, he cleaned up afterwards; we didn't even know he'd been in our home. Ron provided high quality work at a reasonable price. We have received many compliments on the tile! We love it and are extremely happy with the service we received from Need A Hand.

Ron returns calls promptly, was always on time and very professional. He is friendly and warm; a real pleasure to work with.
