He wanted money up front, and when he needed supplies I had to pay him for the equipment. The plumbing and the septic were running side by side, so we had to re-route it. We were very clear, when you put it back does the land look like it did, He had to tear up our front yard, to put in the pipe. When he covered it back up, he destroyed the whole front yard. You had a trench that was 1 foot across the whole yard, about 40 feet. Why would you have to tear up 40 feet of property just to cover a 1 foot trench. The trench was neat, but then when he covered it back up I couldn't believe it. When he covered up the septic areas and drain lines, nothing was smoothed and graded. He said he didn't have the proper equipment, yet this is what he does. He brought in huge bulldozers, which was overkill. But if you tell me you're going to put the property back the way it was, you should do it. I have no grass in my yard. The second septic tank was behind our house, he did no grading. It's lumpy land, there's just no grading. He did nothing to capture the water. We had to reseed it. I spent a lot of money on grass seed and on hay to keep it from washing. He really messed up French drains that were in place. He was just destructive. One day he said he couldn't come because I have multiple people that have broken pips and I need to not come today, but it was the first day of hunting season. His co-worker who was out the next day said Lonnie went hunting. I can't walk with people who lie. We had a huge hole in our property for a week, because he was hunting. It was dangerous because he left an open situation and there was just no urgency. He did both systems at the same time, so he used the same equipment. He was sloppy, he lied, and now we are hearing from neighbors that he has been bragging in the community about how he "took" us because he overpriced the whole job. We still owe him another some money, but it was nothing in comparison to the damages he did to our property. The deal was that I listed the damage cost, but I never got a receipt from him and have never heard from him again. There was no communication and there was no feedback. The biggest thing is that we were lied to and we paid when we were asked for money. He didn't do some things properly when they redid the water system and we had a leak. Our system is on a pump, so we had to go in and pay someone again to go in and drain the system and dig up where the water hook up near the house, only to find out that he didn't hook it up properly. He threw everything back in these holes, including rocks, so it was all compressed on the pipes. It was very unprofessional. There was no respect on his part, for the job, or for us.
