My generator is a Generac 16KW (not one of those small roll arounds!) I contacted many of the companies listed within a certain radius and the best price was actually out of State. The Company, Carolina Generators. LLC already has established clients in VA, specifically, in my area. So there is no additional fee for fuel to come up from NC. I have had him out for preventative maintenence for the last two years. Let me also mention that when I went looking for a service provider, I went into the Generac website where they list specific dealers who are TRAINED AND CERTIFIED with the Generac equipment before they are listed on the Generac website. Not only are they certified, they are also periodically certified in accord with Generac established guidelines. This makes me feel better that it is not some guy who has some electrical training.
Description of Work: Mr. Harrison comes out twice a year. He calls me in advance to let me know he is going to be in the area to work with my schedule. He has never been late or missed an appointment. He performs routine maintenance on both the Guardian generator and the 100 amp transfer switch. He changes the oil and filter, he checks the plugs, plug wires and all of the control wiring. He also does a test run on the unit under load each time he comes to the residence. When we had a storm come through last year, the generator ran for days and days. He knew I was concerned about the continual run of the generator, (even though he knew all was well) he came up to check on everything for me.
