Smith Insulation is a family owned company that was established in 1979 to serve the residential and commercial builders and existing homeowners in the Raleigh-Durham and surrounding areas. The company established an additional facility in Roanoke Rapids and expanded its service into southern Virginia. Part of Smith Insulation's long-standing reputation for providing quality work at competitive prices is the result of its on-going participation in industry training programs. The company holds Masters Certification in Environments for Living from Avanced Energy, and has completed the Southface Energy Institute's High Performance Home training program. The company's employees hold training certifications from the NAHB Research Center, and manufacturers such as Johns Manville, CertainTeed, Knauf, Protective Chemicals Corp. and Demilec. Smith Insulation is fully insured, properly licensed and complies with all applicable Federal and State laws.
