They have been excellent, they are thorough, and they call and remind you of check ups and medicine. I would highly recommend them.

We have been using Louisburg Veterinary Clinic since July, 2013.  I rescued a dying puppy (Precious Camie), a mixed Australian Shepherd.  People had left her to die ... all her hair was gone, and she lay bleeding, and a clear liquid was seeping from all her skin.  When I picked her up ... maggots fell off her little body.
We took her to Dr. David ... he immediately began to help her.  I had medicines to give to her, and shampoo to bathe her in each week.  He gave her all her vacinations.  Month by month, she began to get better.  She is beautiful, today.
Precious Camie will always need medical attention because she had demodectic mange, and was bitten by a brown tick.  Not only that she has crystals, blood in her urine.  She is being treated for that, now.  She loves Dr. David, and everyone at his practice ... so, do my husband and I.
Anyone can go to Facebook.com/camocameobates  (Precious Camo & Kissy Fairchild) to see both of our dogs.  People donate for their medical care, as we can't afford all the expenses.  You can see both Pups are very much loved, taken care of.  Look at Camie, see how far she has come.  You can look at the horrible photos of how far she's traveled on her journey.

While we were out of town, pet sitter reported fleas. She took cats to Louisburg Veterinary multiple times. They were under the care of this vet for 2+ months. Both cats died. They said maybe anemia from the fleas. MAYBE? What were they charging hundreds of dollars for each visit to give us a maybe on two previously healthy cats.
So much for the medical care.
The staff is rude and incompetent. They will interrupt you at the counter to answer non-emergency phone calls, and chat for long periods of time while you stand there cooling your heels.
Overall, awful and heartbreaking. We now travel to Bunn Veterinarian or Rolesville. Worth the trip for a good vet and nice staff.
And Louisburg charges the most of any of the area vets!

I adopted a rescue dog from the Louisburg animal shelter on a Saturday and was given the address to the Louisburg Veterinary Clinic. On Monday I took Maverick for his first round of shots and an initial exam. The staff was awesome, and Dr. David also spent a lot of time with me answering my questions. The subsequent visits have been just as pleasant. I have called with questions and they get back to me quickly with answers. Each time I go they all greet us and know Maverick by name. I would recommend them to anyone. A+
