Fixed quickly, and without fuss. Furnace needs replacing, but guys said it will last the winter, can replace when no longer cold out.

They were called out because the ac was not working.  They found that the coil was frozen and refrigerant was low.   They diagnosed a leak but went ahead and charged the refrigerant even though they knew it would leak.  That cost nearly $500.  When they returned, they replaced the TXV value and again recharged the system.  That cost another $1,100.   They did not check the filter on either visit.



About a month later, we noticed mold on the registers.  When we contacted Bunn Heating and AC, they told us that other people called with the same problem, but there was nothing they could do about it.    I had previously Googled mold on registers and found that it was likely attributable to HVAC system.



We then contacted another company who came out and discovered :  1) Interior floor air diffuser registers were rusted underneath and at screws   2) filter had not been changed and 3) system was set to fan and not ac.  4) insulation under house was saturated, indicating condensation.   5) Mold was in all ductwork and supply valve.

Bunn's HVAC came out to provide an estimate on a new Trane HVAC heat pump system for our home. They were timely and came when they indicated they would. Unlike other contractors in the area, they did not perform a manual J load calculation by measuring all the rooms with a laser and calculating the load to get the air volume and properly sized equipment. They were nice people. Very nice younger man. They are a small company. Most other companies recommended installing a trunk line to fix our air flow problems. Bunn's seems to be timely and nice but not as experienced on the engineering side of design. They are not a "Trane Comfort Specialist" which offer a guarantee that if the system does not perform as designed that they will either refund the cost or replace the system. There is a big difference in confidence in the installer if this guarantee is offered. They were nice and offered a low price, but due to the lack of information and advice on fixing the issues in our heat pump replacement, I would not go with them or the lowest price. I need the most experience to make sure my issues are corrected during replacement.

I called Bunn's Heating and Air yesterday for a service call and a problem with my duct work. They came out this morning at 9 am the service guy was great addressed my problems gave me an estimate to fix my duct work and serviced my air conditioner. I already have a duct crew coming out today to fix my duct work. Service and responsiveness is incredible. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs a great air conditioning company. I have used this company for many, many years now and have never had a problem with them. They are outstanding from the woman that answers the phone to the service people that come out to my house.
