Kane and his crew are also very patient. They were so efficient getting the bathroom complete that, when I had trouble getting a bathroom vanity top that fit well, they ended up making a couple trips out to the house to help figure out how to get the sink top to fit on the cabinet. Even though the fault was mine as I had not been able to supply the right size vanity top on the first time, Kane was patient when working with me and he did not have any incremental charges for the multiple trips out.
I was traveling when he got the vanity top to fit and, when I returned home that Friday night from a week of business travel, I was surprised to find that he had been there to finish it. He knew that I had been frustrated by the ordeal (as it took a month to get the top to fit) and he had worked it out so I would be surprised when I came back to the finished bathroom. What a nice touch!
Another thing that I really appreciate about Kane and his crew is that I felt very comfortable having them in my home when I was not in town. It was very clear from the first time they showed up that they were very much invested in getting the work done as effeciently as possible - and in doing the work correctly. While Kane was managing multiple jobs, I felt that he and his supervisor on-site were all over the details and stayed in regular communication with me so that I understood the progress and what was coming next.
As I said above, I'm not considering any other contractors as I am now planning additional work on the house. Kane and his crew are very busy - and I think there is about a 6 month lead time until they're available (which shows the extent of the demand for their services) but I think it's well worth the wait.
Kane's crew got things done quickly and skillfully. When the pergola was nearly complete I concluded I wanted a look with more decoration. Kane graciously accommodated me by giving the pergola angle braces with swoops cut into them and boxing in the bottom of the posts to give them a more formal column appearance all without additional charges. I'm very pleased with the end result.
It went perfectly. Everything was done in approximately 4-5 wks. He built a 15x20 screened in porch, with a gable roof and a beautiful tongue and groove cedar ceiling. He contracted out the electrician, and someone to install new gutters. Kane and his team were prompt every morning (by 8am sharp), and worked consistently until 7-8pm each day they were here. He returned my phone calls and texts promptly whenever we had questions or concerns. He was polite and humble, and we felt like his price was reasonable. He was an excellent communicator, in that if he couldn't come one day, he'd contact me. Or if rain impeded his work, he'd contact me. His workmanship is exquisite. Both my husband and I are extremely picky about home renovations, and we were both impressed with his quality of construction, attention to detail, workmanship, professionalism, and painting. The final product was more than what we could have hoped for. We trusted him implicitly. I will also add that prior to us selecting him for the job, he came to our house on several occasions to show us samples of the cedar ceiling, the posts, the screen, the railings, etc. He lives at least 45min away, and we just really appreciated him being so accommodating. I would recommend him to anyone needing home renovations or additions in any capacity. He is EXCELLENT. You won't be sorry!
