I feel as if I have a new friend. John is very personable, and arrives at the time promised. Knows what heâ s doing, and does it well. Already hired him for another job.

I am very impressed with John. He is very much a people person and he know how much it affects his customers when damages happen to their homes. He is ready, willing and able to get right into his work and get it done. He is the best and l am happy l went to Angi s list to f ind him. His work speaks for it self and l know when my project is finished l will be more than completely satisfied. .

John was very nice to work with. Would definitely call on them again.

He also installed new roofs for shed and side porch. Reliable, good communication, made extra effort to find a hard part for an oven installation. Cleaned up everything after. Cared about the quality of his work and helped me prioritize projects to stay in my budget. Very happy with A to Z and I will hire him again in the future.

Came last minute before Florence and performed exceptionally well.

This man is a crook. I hired him to redo my bathroom. He told me it would take 3-4 weeks and $6500. 13 weeks and approximately $20k later my bathroom wasn’t done, my foundation was destroyed and cost me $3 to fix, the work he did in my bathroom was completely WRONG and it cost me an additional $8k to get that fixed and finished!!! And 2 weeks after he started, my House was struck by lightning which burned out my AC unit that had to be replaced. 2 weeks later my house was struck again and it burnt out my stove. Now I come to find out this MORON removed the grounding rod from my house, my electrician found it leaning against the side of my house!!!! If you hire this man you will regret it for a very long time.

I paid him in full when the project was finished. He did a great job but took longer than expected. Now 5 months later I find out he's not paid for the carpet that was put in the house. He's very meticulous in his work and I am pleased with the job he did but not at all happy that he's not paid the bills that I paid him for. Carpet company is threatening to put a Lien on the house. Not happy.

In the summer of 2014, we hired this "company" (really a sole proprietor) to build 2 wood carports. The entire job was supposed to start and finish within a month. After we paid him the first installment, we did not see him again for well over a month. When he did work, it was to come late, take very long off site lunches, and quit work early for the most part. We also paid him "overages" due to his insistence that the building inspector was requiring more materials. We have since verified with the building inspector that this was not true. He had a host of excuses for not showing up, personal illness, family illness, his helper's illness, etc. Shortly before Christmas he once again demanded money over the contract price to finish the job, promising to return on December 29th. We paid him. He did not call or show up after that until we contacted him. He still did not show up despite promising to do so. 7 months later, we have had to hire a different contractor to finish the job. We have since found out that this is not an isolated incident. After repeated requests to Mr Hopkins to refund money for the work he did not perform and the building materials never delivered, I have not heard one word from him. Consequently we have expended over $7000.00 for a different contractor to finish the job.

Great company. Excellent follow up. Very neat and conscientious. Highly recommend.

The door work was not the only work performed, At first the work was stellar, but as time went on to other projects, the cost outweighed the work performed.

John came in gave me a price that I likes. He is very easy to talk to . I will use him again. It's hard to find good people like John.

They were hired to reroof our home. What a super job. Johnny knew exactly what had to be done, and then some. His associate, James, was equally as professional. Both good guys and hard workers. Pricing was right in line. Johnny is a proud Army Vet with the strong work ethic of a former military Vet. He and James were here on time. Knew exactly what material was needed. I highly recommend them. Sorry to see them leave as they were a joy and fun to have around the job. Life long future buddies for sure...
